No, that's what I'm saying. If I progressively cut from now until summer I'd be on minimal calories by the end (not actually 5, but you get the gist)

This, you boys will peak to early. So many times I'd cut to soon and get my most shredded before summer.....then by mid summer my dedication would be gone. Mid March or April is go time!

Nah, I'd like my goals to be less weighted towards superficial, narcissistic pursuits and focused on something more fulfilling. Probably building better relationships, improving myself as a person, and helping less fortunate people (homeless shelter volunteering).

Yeah that's nice and everything, and also something that applies to everyone. But let's face it, if looking aesthetically pleasing wasn't ONE of your goals, you wouldn't look like you do in your avi

It was, and I'll still maintain a decent physique. But it comes at a consistent opportunity cost to reach and maintain that level. For anyone to put in that much work and time to a physique, they necessarily have some body image issues (or at least somewhere along the spectrum that's higher than average). I think it's better to recognize that and balance it psychologically rather than feed it under the facade of "being very dedicated".

Pretty true, i mean i only look how i do because i grew up fat and it was a long term goal that i decided to stick to. But still i have hobbies and other things i work on. Id just rather look good doing them. Why not put the same effort into everything you do? The discipline carries over to everything
