Not much time for shooting for me either unfortunately last few years, especially rifles, no long range opportunities near Chicago. I shoot more pellet rifles and laser trainers than anything lately. My kids will be old enough soon though, so I'll be able to hopefully devote more time to it then.

Glad all is well!

Some have limits and weird clauses. Some you have to really read carefully because they only cover the costs of legal fees if you win the case, essentially you pay out of pocket initially. I'd have to look at them again to remember which ones seemed like the best value if I opted in.
Hrmm, yea I think carry guard is upfront coverage and uscca is reimbursement. At least that's what the ccw instructor told us but he may have been mistaken as he was a police officer and probably has department coverage of some kind, therefore these secondary insurance infos we're probably just word of mouth.

not sure yet. Have heard that you can get an ffl03 (I think it's that one) for curios and relics for really cheap (~30 bucks+background check), and then you can have ammo shipped to your door as if it were 2017

when getting an FFL becomes a practical option for just buying ammo, you have no 2A rights left...just scraps of privileges that haven’t been revoked yet

What sort of accuracy is .22lr truly capable of out of a match gun like this with such a light round?

I don't know about 'that gun', but serious rimfire/.22lr target shooting competitions often happen at 50 meters and in good condition the top performers (probably anschutz shooting Eley) will put 10 rounds through one hole

Wow. Didn't realize .22lr was capable of that. Nice.
So I suppose at further distances it's chit with the slightest wind, but definitely sub moa.

Pretty damn accurate @ 100 yards. For main purpose, a practice rifle for fundamentals. At longer ranges (+100y), a handicap when things get too easy. Wind and gravity affect the round more so you become proficient in reading them and adjusting, especially if you live in an area where say the max ranges you can shoot at are around 200 yards.

200 yards with a rugar rpr centerfire is kind of a waste of money. It's like taking a $200 golf putter to game of mini golf.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
Thank you, LORD, my God.

Random ass google example, not the best ammo used here, but, is CZhttp://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums...d.php?t=538272

But if you want best of best .22lr accuracy find guys shooting Eley Tenex out of Anschutz. Sometimes you'll see a Lapua round to very well.

Guys often post groups at 50m they can cover with a nickel, sometimes even a dime. And they don't do 3 round groups

As long as it shoots minute of squirrel then I'll have a justification for buying one. It has more function as trainer for the RPR though.

And it's a gun that will hopefully come in handy if I ever have kids.

When you consider cost of living (especially housing), commute time, and overall higher quality of life you get outside CA (ie your freedom) the higher earnings don’t really matter. And you’re an RN aren’t you? You can basically move anywhere in the country and find a job. You can probably find some locations where your purchasing power might actually increase.

Got wifey some wireless headphones for her stocking. She had them 5 days and left them in puppy range (guessing they fell off the bed and landed near his crate) he snaked those up while we were gone and I came home to a bunch of plastic chunks and shredded wires. Pretty irritated about it since she knows the pup will shred anything like that if left within reach.
