I don't see how it matters unless I'm mistaken. I've never really looked at it but I would assume coins are the same USD value in BTC and ETH so it just seems like a preference thing. Am I wrong?

well if your main trading pairing is bullish (ETH) it only makes sense that your USD value will have a higher likelihood of increasing than one which is...kinda not doing anything (BTC)

I mean, I basically never keep anything in BTC and usually invest all-in on a coin instead of holding back. Might be a bad idea in retrospect. Makes sense if you are holding onto some ETH and buying in at dips, but I generally just throw everything in at once. Neither BTC or ETH really move enough for it to matter to me.

depends a bullish coin like ETH currently paired with your coin may make the USD value increase faster on the bullish pair versus the BTC chart, but it does move towards equilibrium simply due to the bots trading around - part of why they are good for exchanges.

When it comes to trading I simply track the pair I traded with, if it was btc/alt I trade it in that frame of mind, if its eth/alt i do the same.

Trading in sats and trading in Buterins cop the same 0.01% fee on Binance as far as I'm aware, it's only when you're actually transferring from exchange to exchange or wallet is when you cop the infamous btc transaction fees.

How is XRP so much higher on Bithumb, you would think people would be arbing the **** out of a 60 cent difference? what am I missing, does it signal XRP will moon again to 2.75 ?

Apparently it's tough since Korea has tight money control, and Bitcoin is also higher there, so you can't really take advantage of arbitrage

Every single coin I have bought has gone up. Every single coin I wanted to buy but didn't has also gone up.

With a bull market this strong, you could literally throw a dart at coinmarketcap, and come out a winner. Only real worry is how long does the bull run last?

It's probably a better idea because when you "cash out" your money will be in ETH, and growing faster than btc. But as far as using one exchange over the other, it just means that the BTC chart is going up much faster. So in the end, the dollar amount gained is the same.

Also, I have noticed that if you compare the ETH price of an alt vs. The BTC price, I mean literally convert both to USD, the ETH price of a coin is always higher.

I'm a dental student so I got limited funds to invest but I got 1 ETH back in august at $388 - super happy about this. I also invested in alts here n there like xrp, NEO, XSPEC, KNC, ARK, AEON, POWR, XBY, KMD, EOS, MOD

I don't have much in these alts though. Im planning to invest an additional $500 this yr

haha managed to fuk myself over again by getting rid of TRX just a few days ago. Some of you probably saw my posts
