No "exact" reason like a release or announcement, just general thought that it's a good project with a good team. Many seem to think it will be a multi billion dollar cap EOY and that's it's undervalued right now.

Going to steal this from Reddit, I've posted on here a few times about it (Parker Scott has as well) but this is a good summary:

BAT is from the inventor of JavaScript and founder of Mozilla & Firefox, Brendan Eich.

I personally got bat but sold it at 0.5

I've downloaded their browser but honestly at this point, I'd still rather have chrome with adblock

Their ideology is good, but their browser isn't. I bought into their idea. Sold it too early though
