I've only been in crypto for a couple weeks, got in a couple days before BTC crashed. Been playing mostly in alts. What's the strategy for when BTC moons? Try to sell the alts or just hodl and hope for the best? Alts to me seem way more fun but again, I'm a noobie and have not seen what will happen to my alt portfolio when BTC decides to hit a new ath.

Edit: if BTC goes up 25% do my alts lose 25%? Assuming alt price is stagnant during a BTC pump.

What exchange do you guys recommend for a technical trader? I would be looking to day-trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold.

Need an exchange that allows me to set limit orders, stop loss, take profit, etc.

seriously considering dropping my litecoins and trading for icx and xlm. I can drop 6 for a $20 loss on each, just don't have much faith in litecoin anymore. Any opinions?

depends on where you got in tbh. best to look for undervalued projects. get in low and hold

but i think if you hop in late or are in the middle and there's an impending btc run. you could very likely see losses.. and why wouldn't you sell at gains to get back in even lower if you could (if you could foresee that)

so for instance, if you got into eng at 6 bucks and knew btc had something coming up. id take the gains from eng and try to get in lower

but if you got into eng at 1 you should just hold because its very unlikely btc movement will push it that far down

not a fan of selling coins for coins unless that was the original purpose cause every coin will eventually has its day. LTC will recover eventually but short term play would definitely be xlm or icx.

I've got so much regret that I didn't get in sooner. Crypto was on my radar but I was doing the 9-5 slave thing. Too wrapped up in running a shop for some ungrateful people, making them wealthy. I could have literally already been a millionaire here. If I had made the same investments 12 to 18 months ago, I would be retired now.

They're so cheap right now I dumped $50 bucks on each. Now we wait... If they are shyt, then I'm out $100, if they moon it's worth it for sure. Just my personal feelings on it.

Thanks! I got in ENG at $2.60, right in the middle of your example LOL. I got a decent understanding of what you are saying though. Do most alts run horizontal when BTC is high? I would assume some alts would still see green candles but most would not? I know it all depends on lots of factors but generally speaking.

saying it was entirely unprofessional.

i also saw someone say that they hinted that the chain release could be delayed even further. (NOT CONFIRMED. so dont believe that)

i would just expect it as i saw multiple people saying the AMA was very unprofessional

I see BTCHad made a new years resolution to hit the gym again.

Happy I sold off all my DBC for KCS this morning. Sold off another half of my ZCL for XLM which worked out, just wish I sold off the other half. XBY also being a chad, 145% up today. Overall not bad, not bad.

I would, ltc will probably get on a run at some point but there's more reason to think those two will moon harder and sooner then LTC.

Honestly I see a huge case use for this crypto. BUT I think the WTC team (at-least their marketing team is beyond trash.)

Personally I feel WTC is gonna come and go OR be very niched and be the name behind maybe a single store/chain. and a bigger name will take over the RFID/blockchain tech.

i see users asking normal legit questions getting banned for no reason

weird as chit because they have more patents/ accomplishments/ use cases/ etc. than anybody in crypto but they've been lackluster as fuk lately.

original chain was supposed to be released october, delayed to january/ february, now delayed to q2 2018. that's terrible

their wallet release was lackluster as well. stupid chit and i'd have to say theres certainly doubt around the team and roadmap entirely due to all of the delays

no, alts take a dip when btc makes a run. i mean, i guess it depends on how high btc is running. if its small btc will go up crushing dollar value but then alts will recover quickly but if btc goes on a huge bull run it could be pretty bad

if one coin is doing major volume. i think ETP is an example of a coin that did well despite BTC's run because it was doing good volume. but generally speaking alts will be affected negatively by btc's movement

Wow, I actually did not know the bolded. I'm out now for sure, was only 5% of my long term hold but not anymore srs. That speaks HUGE volume.

Team/Communication/and Community are my 3 biggest things to look at for a long term hold project, and it's failing all 3.
