It's a coin i have on my fav's because i see it go from 3.60-3.75 to 4.00-4.20 daily. Might have another pump in it soon, might double, might go down but since i feel more confident in other coins i just keep a small position in this one and focus on other stuff.

Side note, When will it be BNB coins turn again for a $11 price. hehe, God i felt like a king when it went from $3.50 when i didnt stop shilling it nonstop on here to $11 haha.

I might actually let this one sit a bit.

I could see this one making me some sick returns in 1-2 months, should be on binance before than.

now if SALT decides to not accept Salt token for principal and interest all of the sudden - i'd get out.. but otherwise it seems like a low risk 2x short-med term.

Just realized the IRS stuff really fcuks us over for short term gains if you exchanged BTC for any altcoin.
- Buy 5 BTC for $10k on Feb 1st to hold.
- Buy 5 BTC for $50k on Sep 1st to buy altcoin immediately.

Suppose BTC 5x in that timeframe. For FIFO rules, that buy was 1BTC. So I have to pay short term gains on the 1BTC ($2k -> $10k = taxes on $8k)?

I don't recommend anyone keep this coin long term. It makes me nervous but there is still too much fomo and hype to take advantage of. Thanks for bringing some solid points to light for us man, really got the knowledge on it rolling for me.
How long is long term for you? I had half of my XRP since it was 19 cents.

Can someone help me out here to better understand this buy/sell order bullshyt? Like look at this picture right, Since there are alot of sell orders(red ones) that are in the 4-5 btc range total but hardly any buy orders (green ones)
does that mean the price will eventually keep going down because no body wants to buy it so potential bidders will bid less than current price?? Am i thinking about this the right way? So basically a fukton of Sell, No buy, price goes down, HEaps of buy, No sell, Price goes up??

edit- why wont my fukn TINYPIC IMAGE I LINKED SHOW UP WTF IS GOING ON!!!!!

Its a hybrid coin, PoW/PoS, Supply is capped @ 50B.

It's purely a short term play for me, but if it does pick up I'll ride the lightning on it once then bail. I dont really see a future in a coin that is trying to compete with doge.

but do you have to follow FIFO rules in a system where you could trace the transaction to the wallet and then in theory store it in a separate wallet? I definitely agree with your premise if it all goes into the same address... but if you pre planned to hold you could do it this way no?

this is why i don't like applying stock rules to crypto.. if you cold store it its literally yours to keep (even if it has no intrinsic value) ownership shares in stock are nothing like physically holding a commodity.

It's getting pretty bad over there. I tested the water by moving out small amounts of BTC,ETH,and LTC from GDAX last night. the BTC took almost 7 hours to get 4 confirmations.
