As someone who has been in this since 2013, I just want to say be careful new brahs. Most of you have never went through a legitimate bear market (june-july was nothing - just lol if you didnt buy $140 eth). I have seen btc lose basically 90% of its value during the crash.

Everyone's happy in a bull market where you can 2x+ on literal vaporware dogsh*t. You know we're in a bubble when fuking LINDA is mooning yet it literally doesnt do anything. The mood in the room changes once all coins lose 50+% of their value though.

I think we're fine for now but it can happen at any time.

I work on the best unit in the best hospital in the area my nugget. We use our minds more than doing pleb task work. There are plenty of times of excitement and lots of down time. If a coding patient is coming up bleeding all over the place with a BP of 60/30 I'll close Kucoin. It was like two people. Tbh in most units people are not allowed to have their phones or watch movies or whatever but we do. I'm friends with everyone on night shift and we all fck around. Half of us are 25-27 y/o degenerate alcoholics. They find my crypto rambling and chart staring amusing.

Yeah so you'll have to withdraw the ETH from your wallet and deposit it into your wallet on whatever exchange you're going for. They'll provide an address for you to send to, make sure you pick the right one (ETH) and get it all right.

Sites will have ETH pairings with the alt coins (usually, guess it depends on the exchange). So you buy the alts with your ETH on the premise that they will outperform ETH. IF ETH goes on a big run you will bleed eth value from the alts even if the $ value of them stays the same. So you look at your est. dollar value and think "whew, didn't lose anything on that ETH/BTC run" but then you look at your actual value and you've lost a bunch of ETH/BTC and go on suicide watch.

So, the game right now is to gain ETH/BTC via trading or hodling alts. Be careful though, chit can bite you if you time it wrong. Once we have exchanges with fiat/alt pairings this effect will be lessened.

I review it a few times a day, then I do an in depth study of the coin/token then decide whether to buy. It 99% for coins I want to hold longterm.
I keep a poverty ledger/journal as I progress, probably should be more detailed with it. Have a detailed excel spreadsheet keeping track of fiat investment/btc value and so on though.

Never has this been more applicable then in crypto. Just forget about it and look for the next bus to ride.

Had trouble getting and staying asleep last night with ICX on the move like that. That first check in the morning too, lawd. I don't look at the actual numbers until I refresh binance, just to be sure I don't see inaccurate ones. Often the last dream before I wake up is related to crypto prices so it's kinda fun to see how far off by subconscious was with it's prediction.

Whales suppress coins when they want to accumulate more before it blasts off. Act like one of those fish that hang off the sides of whales/sharks and just tag along for the ride.

Bull markets can last a long time with the right conditions. Crypto right now is the right conditions imo, sure things can happen but as it stands now (and as morbid as this image is) the crypto market is like the opposite of that nightclub fire that is on youtube where a ton of people died, the front door was jammed with people trying to get out to the point that they were all stuck and couldn't get out. So many people are trying to get in the exchanges they just shut down registrations until they can handle the load and there is still SO much skeptical sideline money out there that will be jumping on as more stories reach them about someone they know making 6 figures in a few months and crazy chit like that.

That's me brah. Eventually you accumulate enough that you start to become the whale. A couple of "whoops" moments when I've tanked a coin with too big of a sell order.

No idea TBH. The thing with LINDA is that she fluctuates a decent amount. If you just wait until it's, say, 5 sats from where you bought, that's ~15% profit.

Nope, I rode the moon like the initial 70% then dropped it into XRB. Then it proceeded to go up another 150% which made me salty, would've made me like 15-20k in a couple days if I stayed in that. Then I went all in on BNTY for a little while, got out, it went 50% today. Sigh.

I've been swing trading XRB though, took half out of my raiwallet too which arrived last night. Overall I think I've gained maybe 100-150 XRB out of it in the past couple days. Trying to decide at what price I want to get back in fully, I'm holding back like half a BTC and waiting for it to drop into the 1600s. When that happens I'll be up like 150-200 XRB

edit: Nice, we're in the 1600s. Bitgrail is at 1600 so I'll orib wait to buy in until around 1640 or so.

Volume is so low right now. I think even if it dips when it goes on Binance it'll be super high volume and from there the price manipulation and arbitrage will lessen and XRB will begin mooning again.

I was for a while, I was erratic and gamblibg on emotion rather than bothering to learn wtf I was doing. I'm up about $300, which is insane because the last 2 weeks have made insane profits. I would buy a coin, sit on it for 2 days, sell it, I did this about eight times. Every single coin that I purchase has now reached Mars, I missed out on about $40,000.

I'm **** hot at purchasing homes, remodeling them and flipping them for-profit, realize yesterday I needed to apply those same investment strategies into crypto and stop treating it like the roulette table.

Just sold ETH. Bagging profits on failing support levels which then act as resistance. Fun trade.

I mean I'm happy about my decision but damn.
I'm not claiming to be an expert, but I feel like I'm good at recognizing patterns and trends. To me, the spike we saw in BTC about a month ago was not natural. Went up to nearly 20k in a single day and it was blowing past ATH. Then we saw a slow bleed across the board, except for XRP. To me that says this was planned. Then you see an influx of normie money flowing into XRP. Did it have to do with futures? Maybe. But it was definitely planned.

Here's why I think BTC and LTC will still have great growth. Coinbase is a problem. I'm sure there are good people out there right now to come out with legit competition that knows what it's doing. Having a good balance between entry points will help new normie (not saying that as an insult or a put down because it's necessary for growth) come in without subject to manipulation as much as it has been. And once we see merchants entering in the cryptospace (for payments, etc) I think we'll see a healthy bump in the currency coins. That, and LTC will be getting into smart contracts which will help ease the issues with ETH and help pump LTC.

Cliffs:

-Manipulation but not in a short-sighted get in-and-out pump and dump kind of deal. It's real 3d underwater chess.
