As for nights recommend against it as it's counter intuitive to natural growth levels being able to spike properly but to each their own.

Personally minimal to no carbs pre bed, just meats/proteins etc.my point is that when you ingest 150 grams of glucose (or that HFCS gargage), in one sitting, that sh*t is going to convert to fat for the most part, unless you're doing a 2 hour gym/cardio/f*ck session.
It's good that some people are naturally lean and can get away with it, but your average chubby person can't.
Sugar is not really meant to be consumed by people. Fruits are fine, to an extent, but even then you probably don't want to eat too many bananas, although they are great to have as a pick-me-up.
Still a long shot from sitting at night and consuming a pint of ben & jerries and 3 pop tarts, then going right ahead, and advocating that every one else do the same, all whilst you are sweating profusely, for what ever reason

I prefer the small brosciency meals tbh anyway. Did IIFYM for a long time and thought it was the be all end all but would look the same year after year despite gaining good strength/muscle when in a surplus. I feel better and train better when I'm doing the stereotypical chicken/broc****/rice with the occasional treat thrown in vs the yolo IIFYM method.
At the end of the day though, it's all about what works best for each individual. That's the beauty of the whole thing; you can take science and apply the "proven" methods and they may not work as well for you as they do the next guy and vice versa. Finding what works for you and seeing it pay off is an amazing feeling

Meh, I don't care if it's bro science, eating the way I do makes me feel and look better. 3 full meals with 2-3 snack in between. Most days no processed carbs, just yams/brown rice/veggies. I know a lot of people who are on the IIFYM thing. If it works for them, great, but eating processed carbs makes me feel sluggish and crappy which affects my training.

The first one doesnt make sense and the second i doubt you even understand. Just eat how you want. Most of you people pushing this **** are doing a million other things that are suboptimal anyway so who cares

Besides that, total caloric intake and adherence is what matters. If you hit your macros and micros, it's next to completely irrelevant as to how frequent you eat, whether it's all in one meal, whether you're doing IF, anything

What I think causes me a little issue with grazing is a tendency to graze on junkier stuff vs. higher likelihood of meat and/or vegetables if I'm thinking of something as a meal. I should have some better stuff already made up on hand. Goals...

When I was actually in shape, I made my quickest and best gains by eating 6-8 smaller meals a day. High protein, only complex carbs, and greens. The traditional Muscle Mag type stuff. You can almost feel the difference; your body takes in and burns. Takes in and burns. People over complicate things.
