They were together for 22 years and it sounds like he cheated on her. I don't think it's right to go after his future earnings but there's probably some anger behind that, and her lawyers are suggesting it.

I think once you've been with someone for over 20 years we can probably throw out the idea that the person is a golddigger

What the fuk are you talking about? This is not about "golddigging", it's about a fuked up legal system that allows one person to fuk another person financially for the rest of their lives.

He may have cheated on her after 20 years, but does that make it just to punish him for the rest of his life by taking 1/3 of his pay?

Many states in the Us are no-fault states so it doesn’t matter if you’re fuking your 19-year-old step daughter in your wife’s bed...it has no affect on the courts decision in awarding funds.

It comes down to the lawyers, what you’re willing to spend and if the judge is a kunt or not.

I said I don't think it's right. The legal system takes marriage extremely serious, more so than people that actually get married it would seem.
Anyways with that said, when you get married it's meant to be forever and if you design your life with someone else and it doesn't work out, you shouldn't have to start from scratch. Especially after 20 years together.

I still think what she wants is excessive but this doesn't rustle me like other stories about this type of **** posted on the misc.

They had no kids, so it's not like she was sitting at home raising children. Why should she get ANYTHING at all?

It's one thing if there is a mutual decision for the woman to be a stay-at-home mother of a couple of kids. Of course then she can't advance her career and it's not exactly fair for her to get nothing after 20 years of sacrificing her career.

But that's not the case here. She's just a lazy biyatch who went after his money. Please explain to me why this lady should be given anything at all?
