If you come home for the evening and find some people hanging out on your front lawn (aka your property) and you tell them to leave and they refuse, you'd probably call the cops. They show up, tell the people to stop trespassing, and they refuse. Oh well, hope the cops just cite them do nothing to actually solve your problem of handling the law breaking going on.

Here's a pro tip for you fukking idiots that think the cop did anything wrong here. You can't cite someone for a crime that they are refusing to stop committing. Most businesses and public transit have posted rules, and if you break those rules you will be asked to leave. Refuse to leave and you are now committing thecrimeof trespassing. Cop tells you to leave, a lawful order given in the course of his or her duties as a public officer, and you still refuse, you are now obstructing/resisting a public officer, anothercrime. This may blow your mind, but people often get arrested for committing crimes in plain view of law enforcement, and when they refuse to stop committing that crime.

This is also exhibit A on why the USA isn't actually a police state like idiot kids like the girl in the video seem to think it is. Can you imagine someone trying this chit on some cops in the Soviet Union, or North Korea? You think it would have been handled by their cops like this?

The moment she grabbed onto that bar (or the seat, whatever it was), I would have pepper sprayed her ass. Nobody actively resists on my watch.

Bet this is another millennial with either:

- Cuck father
- Single mother who taught her daughter she "don't need to listen to no man"

If an officer gives you a reasonable request I don't see why you wouldn't follow it. It's always people with overly defiant personalities and behavioral problems that make the biggest deal out of a non issue. If you start resisting what do you expect the officer to do? Ask nicer?

If you're going to escalate a situation you better be prepared for what's coming.

Maybe the officer was part of the problem, but while I'm not sure how potato you have to be to play tug-of-war with a cop over a transit violation, it's pretty potato. Now she's famous for acting ridiculous in public, too. That'll help her a lot when she starts her job search.
Im sure whatever fast food job she applies for wont give a damn.

This is the key.

Once an officer has given a lawful order, even if he regrets it, he's not going to back down. If he overstepped and knows it, being chill is your best bet to getting a cooperative way out of this for you both. If he overstepped and doesn't know it, being chill is the only way you're going to prevent this from escalating.

You have to be severely socially oblivious not to realize that you're forcing their hand if you throw a defiant tantrum. Even for 18, this is dumb.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

LA train rules to not have your feet on the seat because it causes issues and those trains are extremely busy ones. If you don't comply you could be removed. Altercation starts well before the man pulled out his phone to record and it was obvious the cop asked her to remove her feet nicely at first. He then attempted to remove her and she resisted which then prompted him to arrest her. Fuk those spoiled entitled brats yo, I give the officer a thumbs up.

It took me 5 minutes of reading to find my first youtube comment critical of the cop. I think almost everyone is on his side with this one, hopefully the leftist LA city government doesn't mess with him.

what a whiny kent. seat on the feet is a transit violation on any metro, then you add refusal to obey a lawful order, then resisting arrest, etc. instead of just taking your feet of the seat like a normal, decent human.

The trains are really only busy maybe 5 hours out of the day, 630-930 and 445-630. Unless you are using/going to a transfer station then GG.
