We'll be back, this bounce already running out of steam as the bears regroup.
You just want to think that because you pulled out and are scared to buy. At some point you will be wrong and the next BTC bull run will be off, we might get to $200 a BTC first, but at some point you will be wrong, lol.

DCA buy orders from 8.5 to 6.5?

question for you brahs with buy orders on ETH/BTC, this must be on an exchange that lets you hold $USD right? so this means you have a portion of your fiat chilling on an exchange at all times?

as an international brah i get hammered with fees for sending money and getting it converted into $USD. Plus I don't really like the idea of having thousands of dollars just sitting on an exchange. but leaving it all in my bank account means i can't DCA or put in limit buy orders, i just have to see the price on coinbase or something and make a credit card purchase. (more fees.) feels bad man.

Just saying what I'm seeing, wasn't like the 230btc wall scared off the sellers and buyers rushed in on it's support to bounce it, it got demolished.

Yeah it depends on how it's looking but I might start buying at/just under 8.5K. It might just plow right through on the way to 8K and I'll make a bigger buy there which was my feel when I saw it eating that buy wall.

First we gotta see how much the bulls can extend this bounce

For me ACH transfer to GDAX is free, trading is free, and the USD is FDIC insured. Also, considering Coinbase/GDAX make a quadrillion dollars a day I don't feel so bad letting some BTC, ETH, LTC from hit buy orders sit before I can withdraw it. But in general I wouldn't keep any large sum of money or crypto asset on any exchange in case it gets mt goxed. Hopefully more options emerge for people that don't get the same luxary, I am assuming GDAX operates differently for people outside of the US? I have no idea but it seems like you have looked into it?

And you don't think there is a chance that at some point you may be wrong and BTC picks up steam? I will suck you dik dry and let you slap me in the face with it if you can prove you bought in at the bottom of this thing perfectly.

Not a fan of DCA in a bear market. Throwing good money at bad IMO. I'll wait for bounces and confirmation. If I miss 10-15% of the next bull run so be it. It's down so much farther than that for me anyway. Would rather protect capital than keep bleeding not knowing where the bottom will be.

all in all i still struggle with deciding between diversification vs going balls deep too; i'm currently pretty diversified simply because i like so many of the different projects going on, but i feel like the truly sickening gains tend to come more often from the balls deep in one coin approach (high risk high reward ofc)
yea i absolutely get what you mean, but currently if i include the other 20% that im about to invest im only putting in abt maybe 11k( including my VEN and ICX) in total?thats definitely money i can afford to lose and honestly steadily growing seems pretty ****ing slow for a sum like mine( especially when i dont day trade).

I'm thinking of either splitting that between OMG and XRB because they havent seem to pump yet, or maybe OMG/XRB/DRGN

I view DCAing bear at covering a wide spread of what will all be great entry prices on the next bull. Hey man if you can time it like that and so easily hop in after the first 15% then go for it, you'd certainly come out ahead of what I am doing. Since that's not a game I am trying to play I look forward ot hearing about your entry. Have you been in crypto for the last bear market?

A lot of professional traders have similar strategies to what he's saying. They wait for bull confirmations on longer timeframes (1H, 4H), basically an established higher high, higher low w/ bull volume. It means you'll never catch the bottom but you have a lower risk on entry and more confidence that the trend has turned.

I'm gunna need some solid evidence that this was more then a bunch of FOMO'ing bulls gobbling up exhausted bears before I hop back in. We all saw how it bounced off 10K a few times before falling through.

Been in crypto since btc was $3,500.

I'm going to start coming in around $8,500. All in at $7,500 if we get there. But you can bet your ass if I see signs on another sell off I won't be in for long.

Of course, but I have a hard time believing someone can consistently come in at 15% into a bull run without risk, there would be billionaire traders everywhere, including ITT. Everything I have read regarding investing says history has shown DCAing and doing so more in dips has generated more revenue than actively trading. I think a lot of people in crypto are a bit overconfident with the market 400Xing last year and pretty much not being able to miss on a trade if you tried, it's a new game right now. I wish everyone the best, and again if done right they will be way ahead of me, so I am very interested to know entry points on people attempting to throw all in at the bottom or close to it and how they make out.

Don't misunderstand me, I am not saying we are at the bottom now, lol, if I had to guess this ship is still sinking that why most of my buy orders are under our current price point.

Well fawk, you are doing the a similar thing I am then except leveraging a certain point you perceive to be the bottom. You are also just more active that I am, 3 days might go by where I am too busy with work or life to be bothered with crypto, so the laddered buys are sure ways into spreading out what will all be low points of entry for the next bull without having the need to hover over the market.

You're doing it the smart way to make good money. I'm just being a pu$$y and making sure I'm only in the market when the risk is very low. I'm perfectly happy with 3-5% trades.

Yeah the only thing I'm salty about is that I didn't join the FOMO and jump out when it ran out of steam, would've been a easy ~$700 per btc swing. Didn't trust it enough after watching that buy wall get eaten.

I have fiat in my checking but not on exchanges. Would it be smarter to buy now on coinbase to lock the price in and pay the fee vs starting the ACH transfer which will take a week? Can't do wire

I ride Hondas, so I guess I am just a smart guy overallYou say your way is the poossey way, I'd be scared to throw all in at 7500, so you can easily say my way is the poosey way. Bottom line is anyone buying now is winning if BTC comes back, we are now 50% of ATH which most "experts" say it will hit again and then easily leave behind, any way someone is getting money in when it's under 10k puts them in a tremendous financial position and well ahead of normies who will fomo in when it is passing 30k.

I think in the end what we see now will most likely be a great point of entry in the future but there is absolutely no telling if this is the bottom, IMO you'd be better off saving some FIAT to spread rather than purchasing all at once. As far as waiting a week to save fees, anybody's guess man, we could continue to fall to an even better entry point or we could already all be on the moon without you in a week.

This was not financial advice.
