Surely agree with your final statement though, everyone getting weak hands and folding is what causes this is crypto. Imagine everyone got weak hands and cashed out their 401k during bad stock periods.
I reckon my approach would be '(re-)buy when global market cap is up 10% from lows' for example
So not completely timing the market - looking for when positive sentiment returns
Prefer the risk of that +10% happening now and losing 10%, compared to the risk of staying in and it dipping another 50%!
(All hypothetical as I wasn't smart enough to get in early though and only have negligible holdings in some small cap coin)

Hope you've all seen the preview for the Ethos wallet that's coming out Q1. Fiat gateway Q2 (able to buy any ERC20 token + others with Fiat), checking account, credit / debit card etc. Just lol if you don't think this is going to replace coinbase:

CPChainmaster race sitting pretty at 350k gwei without moving an inch, while the rest of crypto collapses around it.

DGD strong as fuk
The world would be a better place if everyone would channel their frustration and anger to better themselves and be nicer to everyone they meet. Everyone has their own fights and stories to tell, you are not more important than another.

Yea I mean that's a great plan and sounds amazing but history of trading in a variety of markets over time would show the majority of people can't execute on that correctly.

People setup retirement accounts to contribute funds over time equally and regardless of market conditions as this is easy and has historically shown to provide the best returns. Nobody holding now is in bad shape in the long run unless crypto truly collapses. Even those who got rekt in the dot com bubble came out well ahead in the long run if they just had held, meanwhile most sold and lost or didn't do as well as the holders, because they never got back in, got back in too late, got back in at the wrong time, sold again for another loss, etc, etc.

Sure if you can be one of the small percentage to time things correctly you will surely come out ahead. But holding and buying remains the safest way to profits IMO. I'd urger everyone here to talk to people who went through the 2013 crypto crash or the dot com crash if you are old like me, and get the thoughts of those who have been through it.

But those are my thoughts, regardless hopefully anyone in crypto in any capacity gets to the moon later this year. InB4 $1 BTC.

It's things like this and Robinhood that have me hopeful that crypto will turn around this year and maybe be even more bull than it was last year when it does. Ease of use and nice on-ramps will be great for new money injection.

lamo, yea was funny really - classic crytpo. Classic ****ing crypto.

It's alright, I mean ****ing everything is down across the board and I just went down slightly lower than I would have done. Although, XLM/NEO/WTC are eating it pretty hard today as well so maybe it works out the same.

theae crashes aren’t bad long term. They shake out the weaker projects and concentrate the market cap onto stronger ones.

Hold tight boyos, gonna be a rough weekend but the sun will rise next week. Remember, korea money is still limited and China is coming back this year. Not to mention this year is when the strong projects of 2017 actually bring out their mainnet.

This is gonna be irrelevant in a month tops.

Now is a good time to spend less time in the crypto space and just check up on news and prices a couple times per day (unless you are a pro day trader and can make some thrifty trades in this market).

Use the extra time to learn some new valuable skills, like programming or something.

The buy wall looks crazy, I can't help but think of the big investors like Novagratz calling 8k the bottom a couple months ago. Here's to hoping, it better catch by buy order there if that the bottom though.

Yeah I'm sitting here resisting the strong urge to buy back into btc but this bich isn't bouncing off that huge 8K barrier at all, makes me think it's gunna eat it up when all the sellers realize the same thing: no bounce.

The fact that it's friday and we got the weekend right here makes this even crazier.

My targets have been 6500-7200 for a while lol. Going deep on this one, good luck guys. Buys are layered in that zone, weighted much heavier in the 6000's.

I'm considering to changing it to be all in the 6000's.
