'The film he’s going to do is going to be the biggest film in history'

Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ focussed on the life and death of Jesus Christ, only touching upon the figure’s resurrection.

For two years now, the filmmaker has been working hard on a sequel — tentatively titled Resurrection — which will focus on JC’s three days on earth after arising once more.

"I won’t tell you how he’s going to go about it," Caviezel said. "But I’ll tell you this much, the film he’s going to do is going to be the biggest film in history. It’s that good.”

Can't wait for it Mel. I know it's going to be amazing, another masterpiece.

to show the glory of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. God knows this generation needs it.
“Sometimes when I'm faced with an atheist, I am tempted to invite him to the greatest gourmet dinner that one could ever serve, and when we have finished eating that magnificent dinner, to ask him if he believes there's a cook.”

Considering there is almost zero historical literature about Jesus' "three days on Earth after arising once more" this is going to be rather interesting.

What glory? Sacrificing yourself to yourself and then resurrecting yourself seems like just jerking off, but with extra steps.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

In after the butthurt already, Mel GOATson will deliver. Watch Hacksaw Ridge if you haven't yet.
And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds, for the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his gods?

lol my Aunt is a religious nut and made me see it in the theatre with her family... and she loved it. I thought it was extremely boring, but only because I already knew what happens. Mel Gibson is a very talented filmmaker.

About the same that your god has when he sacrifices himself to himself.

It wasn't until after he died, that he became one in 3 persons. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He was praying to God (The father) in the garden prior to his crucifixation.

I know many sects of christianity opposed the film. I would have to believe true christians would not. Maybe casual christians might, I think the ones who actually follow the book would not see it. Oh well. I will watch. I saw the first one and took it as a fiction flick. It was good seeing in that way. Theatre was PACKED then too.

Fun fact: Kevin Smith was going to name the Clerks sequel "Clerks II: The Passion of The Clerk" due to the popularity of Mel's film, but decided against it later on.

Everyone talks to themselves, even Jesus it seems.

shocked how silly atheists are unaware of how indoctrinated they were to hate on God, specially Christ. this thread is a prime example of it.

they don't even know why they hate God so much, they simply do.

but what can I say, after decades of brainwashing by the media and the marxist education, it was bound to happen. Even though I expected some critical thinking and some questioning for why things are the way they are.

but either way, will pray to God so that He enlightens you to see the truth while it's still time. May God bless you all.

even the mockers.

I don't hate something I don't believe to be real, who does a human need salvation?
