Thanks for asking!

When I go in the lab to work on potential 5g wireless architectures, I'm using math formed by Newton, refined into systems by Fourier based off relationships poised by Maxwell that was an expansion upon Euler's work.

Tesla has a unit of magnetism named after him, though.

Also Gauss > Tesla.

Just so you know Maxwell's equations are the basis for what every RF engineer in this country uses. They were actually refined into relativity by Einstein.

The fact that we're in a thread talking about how underrated tesla is for predicting a phone while none of you know the name of the scientists MAKING IT HAPPEN is telling.

And shrug, you're the one who asked. I was just curious in the context of this thread about asking whether people would want to trade places with Tesla. You sound annoyed that I chose to define Tesla this way, but it's hard not to take into account his personal life when measuring who he was and why his life turned out the way it did.
I'm a bit annoyed at the fact he was talking about cell phones in 1926 and you're wasting time talking about sex which any simpleton does everyday.

I'll give you a clue. Your phone works because of those guys. Tesla was talking about THEM.
I recognise them all minus Fourier.

Look, I understand that sex is extremely important to you and that your mind can't even fathom the chit that Tesla was thinking.

I get your stance - you think he's beta because he didn't have sex.

I think the complete opposite. We have different opinions and I'll leave it at that

Like I've already said ITT, what about Tesla's zero point energy that has been held back from the public because the economy depends on the status quo?

Do know what zero point energy is? Maxwell/Einstein/Plank did a pretty good job laying it out as well as Fermi-Dirac systems (these guys laid out the statistical distributions that describe quantum tunneling at zero point energy that we use today in our solid state devices). I am not sure what you're getting at?

We use zero point energy lol. Perhaps if you're interested in these things you should learn the field?

It's something I troll about - yes, but I actually relate to Tesla in this regard, I've been celibate for over a year to focus and exceed on other things that matter much more to me, and it's working out well.

So why wasn't it implemented decades ago? In everything? Like it very well could have.

All radio communications are based off the theory founded by those guys to this very day. That was easy to get from what I stated if you knew 5g was the latest development in phone communications which is exactly what op was about.

OMG

You phucking idiots...you cannot use zero point energy to do useful work...it is literally the lowest energy state of the system, you cucks. Do you people even thermodynamics?

If you used it to do work, the system would go to a lower energy state than the zero point, which would contradict the entire idea of it being the fukin zero point. FUK

Disclaimer: This only applies at large effective timescales.

IDK but whenever anyone talks about using zero point energy to do anything for timescales considerably longer than the planck time, they are lying to you. And zero point energy isn't really relevant to quantum tunneling.

youre spinning in circles man. im an EE so spare me the pseudo intellectual routine. what tesla did hasdirectlyeffected the lives of probably 99% of people alive today. you cannot make that statement about any one of those individuals you keep name dropping. the only ones coming close being newton or maxwell.

What I mean is quantum tunneling has absolutely dick to do with zero point energy. You do not "use" zero point energy for anything.

No. Actually, you really can. The scientists he listed were considerably more important to the development of science and technology than Tesla, but indirectly. Tesla was still probably among the greatest inventors of all time though, but he really doesn't compare at all to Maxwell, Fourier, Einstein, or Dirac...

It's a reference point used in calculating other points used for determining the probability. The "energy" itself is not used. That's like saying we'd use darkness for solar power.

You're not an EE. You couldn't even understand how wireless tech relates to the people who laid the foundation for them. I had to spell it out for you. Sophomore EEs know more than you.

The reference point is not used to compute the probability amplitudes at all. It is the result of the calculation. It is not used to compute tunneling probabilities. It is simply the minimal state the system can be in, and is mainly of theoretical interest for quantum field theory.

I just take offense to your phrasing:
"Do know what zero point energy is? Maxwell/Einstein/Plank did a pretty good job laying it out as well as Fermi-Dirac systems (these guys laid out the statistical distributions that describe quantum tunneling at zero point energy that we use today in our solid state devices). Fermi-Dirac statistics allow one to quantify macrostates and therefore, entropy, for fermion systems. While these statistics are important for understanding the average distribution of electrons in a given state, and thus, are related to tunneling, it feels like the phrasing you gave is just a bunch of words thrown around that are only vaguely connected.

What is so impressive about Tesla talking about cell phones? Dude did major work in the field of radio and wireless power transfer. Is it a big leap to assume he could make television and phones wireless too?

How about Da Vinci talking about helicopters back in ~1500. Or how so many things were inspired from freakin Star Trek.

Tesla achieved many things but you guys are romanticising him too much. And just lol @ all the conspiracy chit. Just stop. Try studying more physics and math... Lots of other scientists to jerk off about.

I absolutely love Da Vinci too amongst loads of others, I'm currently studying Hypatia who I'm enjoying too

I'm not saying Tesla is the greatest but I admire him greatly and I think he's worth making a thread about on an internet forum. Not a big deal, people make dumb threads on here all the time about other chit

but life is just easier in the closet. I'm very low-drama and want a quiet life, being in the closet (and celibate) works best for me. I might feel different when I'm 30, but I'm 20 just now and just want to do the best I can in uni, to go on and get an MA then a DPhil
