That's such stupid logic. In a fantasy utopia we shouldn't have to go through airport security, but we still do. Having a police officer in every school is a great idea.

If mentally ill people couldn’t live in a house with a gun this would largely be corrected.

That said I’m guessing some birch rudely declined a date by a depressed person in a ****ed up way. Happened near my hs.

I think Trump is a fat loser, but the fact he might have been a Trump supporter has nothing to do with him slaughtering innocent people. 60+ million people voted for him. Hardly a defining feature

the school in question was located in a Gun Free School Zone...this means absolutely nothing to a gunman looking to kill.
It means everything to a law abiding citizen who was unarmed at the time of the shooting.

the average response time for the police in Parkland Fl, according to their own web page documentation which I’ve included in the link is 5-6 minutes. This leaves the gunman 5-6 minutes of shooting with repercussion

if anyone in the proximity of this shooter had been allowed to carry a firearm this gunman would have been dead before killing so many students.

Agreed. So many adults have been brainwashed to think right and wrong don't exit. I could only imagine what this kind of mentality does to kids. I think about homeschooling my kids more and more every day.

You're blaming this on people not believing in God?

Do catholic priests think twice before they rape kids? Or do they do that knowing they're going to get into heaven anyway?

Not to mention the Christian crusades or ISIS committing atrocities in the name of their Lord

Fuk off with your bullchit. Come up with real solutions (but you won't cause that's too difficult) other than relying on people's delusions about a cloud fairy.

Bingo.

Media - now along with schools - are the main vessel in which the depravity is being spread.

It absolutely is a result of the de-Christianization of this country. Even if you didn't personally believe, the overall morality of society kept most people in check. You can find rare instances of psychopaths and sociopaths committing mass murders like these, but mostly people understood that there were consequences to their actions. If you didn't believe in eternal punishment, there was swift corporal punishment. You didn't get 25 years of appeal after appeal from your free hippie legal team while you wasted away in prison corresponding with your groupies and watching MSNBC like mass murderers do now. Look up how quickly the Lindbergh baby kidnappers were brought to justice or the killers of Lincoln. Beyond that, there was also the shame that you brought upon your family and friends. Does that even exist now? I don't think so.

Not sure why you brought up the Catholic Church. America has always been Protestant, with a small Catholic minority. Just another typical strawman from people like you - atheists. A discussion of the ****/pederast scandal is a separate issue.

The Crusades were a just response to centuries of rape, murder, and banditry committed against Christians journeying to the holy land. I'm not surprised you don't know this. It fits with your lack of knowledge in many other areas (as you display here on the Misc). ISIS has nothing to do with God. We're talking about the USA. Islam is as foreign to our culture as toothbrushes are to yours.

Now, why don't you fuk off, you Scottish fairy.

I think its a relevant factor. faith, family, and a positive future. Basically whats happening is a certain subset of men, that dont have these things going for them and are otherwise just crazy with little to lose are prone to doing these acts of violence.

We were absolutely better off in these ways before, its never been worse for men to feel hopeless and worthless today, without family and religous guidance and a positive future.

However, my point is that it is precisely because of this fact that we cant allow our rights to be abused. We cant just ignore the fact that as things currently stand too many of these shootings are occuring for our tastes in 2018 so we need some changes

I watched one reporter ask a kid to describe the scene, and then the reporter asked “was there a lot of blood? There must have been a lot of blood.” I mean that has to be the worst question you want to ask someone who’d just seen a traumatic scene...at the same time a reporter’s purpose is to broadcast a vivid image to the public (no excuse).

Are reporters even allowed to interview kids without parental consent?
