Same reason there are terrorists. Because mentally ill people are willing to sacrifice their lives to punish society for mistreating them, not helping them and/or engaging in what they see as immoral behavior

Mentally ill weirdo -> People mistreat him and behave immorally -> causes him to hate them -> hatred manifests and causes him to want to punish them -> causes him to finally act on his thoughts

I think it's kids that aren't socially adept. We should have some type of socialization class in middle schools or high schools. None of these school shooters are guys that had a lot of friends and an active social life, it's usually the FA virgin loner. So we should do something about that.

It all funnels back to the economy and lack of future prospect in this country.

• Fewer jobs, that pay even less. Parents aren't home because they are working borderline slavery hours, they are totally drained and the kids pay the price with less interaction...

• Young people see how hopeless the economy, lack of jobs and everything really is and generally contemplate if this country even has a future at all...

• Younger generations are blamed and ostracized in the media as lazy, stupid and this further fuels resentment....

• Divorce, infidelity, viewing life as cheap, vapid consumption and consumerism and fats realities portrayed on social media take young people completely out of reality...

In short, young people simply realize this country has been trashed, socially, culturally, politically, and the future isn't even bleak at this point, most people wonder can our country ever even recover? They have no hope and act out in a way hopeless people do.

It's so many factors, but I'll say it's because their brain is altered is some way. For example, imagine you had no amygdala or damage to this area, you wouldn't experience fear. Seriously just imagine not being able to feel one of the most primal of emotions yet this is a reality for some people. Morality, consciousness, emotions all get blurred. There are centers for what our understanding of morality is in the brain. Brain chemistry could be altered from drugs, or it could be altered because of an accident and damage was done to the brain. Then you've got some people are straight psychopaths. There are way more factors though and I'm no expert.

Bad parenting. Not realizing their kid is in distress or off, or purposely ignoring it. Not getting them mental healthcare.

Not monitoring them. Not locking up their firearms. Not realizing their kids have weapons.

Chit parents. And by extension, teachers that don’t care. And as a society, we still react poorly to the mentally ill. If we treated depression, personality issues, etc. like any other illness, wouldn’t be so hesitant to seek help.

I will say that in Europe, probably just as many messed up kids but less guns lying around. Still think mental healthcare and parents being more responsible is the solution, not banning guns.

The kid afraid of his dad who beats him regularly being a huge bully with low empathy is literally a cliche. Acting like mental illness can be beaten away solves nothing.

Because it's one of the few places where if you wanna rampage you're guaranteed at LEAST 10 minutes of zero resistance and easy targets clumped up in hallways and small classrooms.

Another staged shooting to divide our nation and take our guns. We must fight this oppression, nothing is wrong with our country. Turn off the fake news!

Kid was either brain washed by cia tactics, tricked into thinking he’s doing something for the world, or a kidnapped kid from useless parents.

They want chaos so we can be dumb enough to take our own guns away. This is at the expense of the innocent. Many will die.

Arm yourselves and protect your family. We are going away from what this country was built on.

I don't think drugs are the real reason, that's just a symptom of the underlying problem of poor mental health in the west. There is definitely a rise in anxiety and depression and worsening mental health from the latest generation, everybody seems to have anxiety. Though I agree that we are too eager to just medicate than to treat the actual cause of the mental health issue as that's the easiest path and also the path big pharma wants us to take for obvious reasons.

Question is why are those in the west suffering from rising poor mental health issues. Many will point to social media, greater pressure to succeed in a more competitive jobs market than ever. But personally I think one of the big underlying reasons is the break up of the traditional family and the impact that has had on the social skills and ability to deal with stressors on the current generation.

Think about it, kids now grow up in a society where both parents work and so are raised in an environment of absent parenting. For example studies have shown children from single parent families are twice as likely to suffer from mental health problems. Surely there must be a correlation between the rise in mental health issues and the growing lack of parental guidance during childhood. Parents teach kids how to deal with the world but what if those parents are never there as both work and have their time limited to be with their children. Well these children turn to other resources to learn about the world, namely the internet and social media. In this type of environment no wonder children grow up anxious.

I think the real question is what is causing the incels. My guess is it stems from early parenting, or lack thereof. Are we seeing the results of babies plonked in front of a TV all day by their single mothers? Highschool places huge social pressure on kids to network or be rejected entirely. A kid sent to highschool with stunted social development is only going to become angry and resentful.

1. Rejected by others. It's much easier with social media.
2. Drugs - Doctors hand out meds like candy, and the side effects of some of the stuff is to make you homicidal and/or suicidal.
3. Not institutionalizing people.
3. Economic issues, where the combination of a lack of future and social media showing you the women and money you don't have and won't ever have.

We are broken. Look at how society has changed after only 1 generation. Single parents or 2 working parents, no free time, no disposable income, economy went worldwide, work is super competitive, middle class is now working poor, kids crammed into filing cabinet apartments, no sense of local community, social media has replaced God, off the charts narcissism, consumerism, hyper-sexualization, 80/20 rule... I mean, look at how most people eat now.

Everything about day to day life has changed but our monkey brains are slow to adapt. Who among us ISN'T negatively effected? I had great upbringing and I still feel utterly disconnected at times.

Serial killers and nihilists have always existed the the difference now is they get more infamy from rising media outlets when they do all the carnage at once.

i wanted to literally murder my bullies when i was in highschool. dead serious. i still would hire a hit on them even now, 10 years after highschool, if i could afford it. don't even care if they turned into "good" people. they deliberately **** up someone else's life, they deserve to die.
There is only one Hell: the one we live in now.

People are too narcissistic and fake nowadays. Worship of money and sex getting stronger.

Energy that was once put into family togetherness has transformed into a society where the parents are out for the biggest paycheck, hotter wife etc. in sacrifice for consistently being with their children and getting to know and talk to them.

Overall, self-love over family love.
