In nursing school band work in an ER right now...many a nurse are way better looking than me and hot....soooo yeah. Naturally the people you see are going to be a reflection of the population at Large. The majority will be average to ugly and overweight with a few unicorns sprinkled in.

Been seriously thinking about taking a couple nursing classes at my local community college couple to get in with some cute nurses.
As a guy who married a nurse, yes, they are the best possible mate. Also, engineers and nurses are one of the most highly correlated professions that marry, go figure.



Not to mention she brings home like 60-65K/yr right now, and is only 4 years into her career. Brb we gon be rich

A bachelors in Nursing also isn't a complete cake walk. My school has one of the best nursing programs in the world and you need a 3.8-4-0 GPA to be competitive for admissions which is right on par for the top business majors as well as engineering. It requires anatomy, biology, chemistry, and physiology.

It's one of those massively under-appreciated jobs IMO... we need nurses. Nurses who give labor, ICU nurses, nurses to take care of the elderly, etc etc.

Also, you're an idiot if you think becoming a nurse doesn't require large amounts of studying. Today, becoming a nurse basically requires a BSN, a 4 year degree that requires Anatomy & physiology, organic chemistry, microbiology, pharmacology, pathophysiology, specialized field classes like gerontological nursing or nursing of infants, 2 years of clinicals, and much more.

I saw it with my own eyes, nurses cleaning old women intimate parts to put a urinary probe, I don't care what you say, they do lots of nasty stuff.

Uhm, no, nursing school is something doable for a regular/average IQ, nothing amazing and many other degrees are much harder to obtain than a nursing certificate. LMAO at comparing nursing with engineering in terms of difficulty level.

You really have no clue and you act like a nurse is the brightest cookie, that's just ridiculous. The brightest cookies become neurosurgeons, not nurses so gtfo.

My theory is that nursing falls into a category of jobs that most ordinary people simply choose to avoid. As a result, there are two personality types who are drawn to it:

20% are genuinely loving, kind, giving individuals who just can't help but care for others. It's a calling.

80% are sociopaths who have no boundaries about bodies, disease, and human suffering, and are drawn to the associated chaos, stress, and drama.

I've seen several men roll the dice on this. They all lost. I'm not saying you can't win, I'm just saying that you've got to inspect carefully before you buy.

Uhm, thanks for the correction, but your argument is ridiculous. Most degrees ask the same thing, only the field of study is different cause other people don't want to work in a hospital. Also, give me a break about the amount of study a nurse has to do in order to get a certificate, they know less than a fraction from what a specialized doctor knows, so please. I understand that your wife is a nurse and you want to believe that her IQ equals Einstein's IQ, but you're clearly misunderstanding things.

I'm an engineer and I can tell you that my wife's education was only less difficult because I went to one of the best engineering schools in the world. If I went to her school (which has a great nursing program) our educations would have been roughly equally difficult.

Yeah, you went to one of the best schools in the world but there are petroleum / chemical / biochemical engineers earning triple +++ than what you earn and your wife is one of the brightest cookies but she's a nurse, not a doctor.
