Good question on Walmart. Dick's has been on my list since they removed certain types of rifles, very publicly, after Sandy Hook. The new 21 thing didn't change me, I haven't spent a penny at Dick's since SH (and I did before that).

Is that what Walmart did? 21 for all guns and ammo? Did they do anything else? I still buy ammo there because some is still a good deal there...and their Fairlife is $1/bottle cheaper than the grocery stores (and I buy a lot of that ****). Walmart would hurt to drop...but

I once tried to buy a gun but put my (moved a week prior) new address on the 4473 and old address was on my ID, no-sell, had to go to DMV and update license and go back to the store. I moved about 50 yards, everything was the same except the apartment number lol

I mean you won't get denied, but you'd have to use technically incorrect info on the form to match your out of date license, which is a no no. Very small chance anything would ever come of it, but just updating the license would be a much better idea.

For the record, ^ this post obviously assumes that you didn't move to a different state.

Anything involving a different state is a different level of -can't do that-. Unfortunately.

I bought my Marlin 795 from Dicks many many years ago. I think it was like $120. No ragrats.

Never bought anything else gun related from them since.

I don't get it. Why would they do that? Just because some mad man would use a harmless tool to commit more murders that are committed using any type of rifle doesn't mean those tools should be banned. But rifles are scary and designed to kill and full semi-automatic and assault weapon and military style weapon of war.

Too many jackwagons open carrying rifles and muzzling everybody in the process to be worth it for them to let it keep going, because idiots
To be fair, that's really not an unreasonable request from a company, especially one whose main chunk of business comes from triggered types.

I didn't know Walmart changed to 21. I bought ammo there, awhile back, and got a funny look from the cashier. I guess it was checking to see if I looked >21.

The world’s largest retailer, Walmart, announced a change to its policies Wednesday, saying it would raise the minimum age required to buy a firearm and ammunition and remove any items that resemble assault rifles from its shelves.

In a statement, the company said it would raise its age requirement to 21 from 18, a decision it made “in light of recent events” — most notable the national discussion about gun control since the Feb. 14 shooting at a high school in Florida that left 17 people dead.

“We take seriously our obligation to be a responsible seller of firearms andgo beyond Federal law by requiring customers to pass a background check before purchasing any firearm,” the company said.

How do you do that. When I'm finally ready to spend money, I buy all of it, buying one part and letting it sit would be a huge let down. I'd rather just save and buy it all at once, even if it isn't the absolute best deal possible.

Only time I'll have Guinness is with my Irish car bombs. And I've tried to drink a few of those stout/porters to give them chances.
