Yup they all count the same for wins and points, but you know people like to discuss a player's finishing ability or technique.

If you read those stats, Messi's twice as effective a finisher outside the box, which is insane. The point of these kind of stats isn't to say one is better than the other, but to highlight the differences in their roles and play styles. This isn't as clear cut a comparison as comparing two center forwards, imo.

There's a good reason Messi scores less in the box: he's small. Ronaldo has that physical ability.
