they're fairly different sports in terms of athletic demand. nfl is a game full of short bursts of play followed by long breaks, whereas rugby is much more fluid so generally demands a lot more stamina (+physical strength). it's like comparing a sprinter's body to a middle distance runner.

Where were you the other day when there was actually a thread on here (I love the Misc) saying that American universities aren't that good because there are lots of them and not all of them are Ivy League, lol. People were posting statistics showing universities like University College London being way ahead of Princeton. It's the Misc and all but just lmao at the coping.

NBC Sports has been showing some English rugby games. Every time there was a hit both of the guys eased up. Just makes sense sense since they don't wear pads. But I got think un padded NFL players would make harder hits.

Yeah NFL is most short bursts of speed and then waiting around. But other then the scrum it seemed like most of the line was casually walking around waiting for the action to come to them.
