I would say its culture and upbringing. Lots of rich Asians who dont go backpacking or do any of the stuff listed in the OP.

Idk OP maybe the big companies are just trying to drain white peoples money. Idk about materialistic purchases but right now they're the biggest consumers when it comes to "travelling". The travel industry loves white people. Hotels, airline companies, tourist hotspots etc. That's why countries like Thailand are getting rich off them.

A white miscer explained it best when asked why do white bros do pseudo gay stuff whenever they get drunk together.

No hate to white bros but I think that translates to seeking obstacles, dangers and excitement in a relatively easier life when compared to that of many minorities. Exceptions do apply obviously.

because we’re bored

after all those years of colonization, building western civilization, etc there’s not much left for us to do. and we can’t compete with blacks in a good portion of athletic sports so those two things combined leads us to doing some really crazy sh!t lol.

Except only a very small minority of you did that. Colombus, Captain Cook and their crews were like the 1 percent of white people back then so you can't say its genetic.

For thousands of years before that white people have lived in their own cities and villages. Vikings are an exception but even the Vikings who actually raided and explored new lands were only a minority of their population so don't give me that genetic bs because only a very few of you have those genes.

Haha, came here to post this. OP has a severe case of confirmation bias and a lack of anthropological awareness.

A lot of the so called 'risky/adventurous behavior' actually comes from other cultures. Bungee jumping for example, comes from 'land diving' practiced by Melanesians in the Pacific islands. Stuff like surfing also comes from Polynesian culture. Think about all the land based extreme sports that are derived from the concept of surfing. Mountaineering is something regular people all over the world do because they live there, lmao. Not even gonna go into free diving and a bunch of other shiet.

I believe that white people are very nervous in their disposition and need to do many pointless things to feel occupied.

This thread is cracking me up for all the dumb stereotypes. This isn't some white people phenomenon. I personally think this is a disposable income and weather thing. This for people who have money to burn and/or live in a climate causing them to be bored would be my guess, so they try to fill their time by making up crazy chit.

And like others said, other people do plenty of crazy chit. They just don't may not live in a society where they want to tape everything or show it off.

If you mean they can't sit quietly with their own thoughts without distraction ... then yes i agree. Although, it's hard to separate that from being a Caucasian thing vs. cultural.

If I had to guess, it's probably a combination of 1. Living in a relatively safe, stable, and sheltered lifestyle in the west creating a culture of false security, 2. Higher average economic success = higher boredom, higher boredom = crazier **** to relieve said boredom, 3. An increasingly elongated social construct not found in many other cultures called "adolescence" resulting in less feelings of responsibility and more "freedom and have fun" mentality. You know what they say, every teenager thinks they're going to live forever.

LMAO this is hilariously true. And often race and culture are hard to separate in general because they're intertwined and grow together. But I generally tend to lean more towards the culture argument. Everyone is always to quick to pin things on DNA when 99% of the time we have no conclusive proof and just get proven wrong 15 years later lol.

Never really thought about it, but when I was skiing in Austria last month I saw the first black person ever in a ski resort. Well, i've probably do 15-20 Ski trips (1-2 weeks) at tons of different resorts/countries and never seen a black guy (or gal) skiing.

And I dont know why, but you never see black people swimming (to a high standard at least) - e.g. olympics.

And there arent many in Le Tour de France.

And there is only one in Formula 1 (Lewis Hamilton) and none that I cna think of in MotoGP?
