Iranian is a nationality. If someone asks a Persian person where they're from, they should obviously say they're Iranian. That would be like an Englishman saying he's white/anglo instead of English when someone asks where he's from (this is a chit example but cba to change). That's not my point.

You can be Persian and you could call yourself Persian too and be factually correct. I couldn't, as I'm a mixture like I described above.
