Maybe if you cheeky kents would place an order for a tub of protons on this site from time to time we could keep it going.

i've been posting pretty consistently for a long time now. a few thoughts
-IMDB forums closing last year was a big sign of the times and showed you forums were burned out. people rant on FB/instagram/twitter now. they aren't hiding behind screen names anonymously anymore. i don't necessarily agree or like it but that's just how it is; i don't think it has anything to do with specific mods or censorship. people are just doing this stuff elsewhere, and with their real name on it.
-supplements aren't what they once were. i agree there. i also don't think there's room for multiple supplement sources. these days if you can get it on amazon, everybody else who carries said item is in trouble. i used to go to a cool shop nearby called Tommy K's vitamins and that thing is long gone.
-i do think they missed the boat with bodyspace. there was always a disconnect between the forums and bodyspace and i don't know why. the real activity was always on the forums and the more you could link bodyspace to it the better it would've done. maybe it was never worth the effort.

Back around 2009-2011 this was the only place people posted about fitness. There was no IG/youtube channels. FB was still new. Hodgetwins basically ruled youtube. Looking back at those times makes me shed a tear. If i could go back to 2010 i would.

Even if BB.com or whatever the parent company is called goes under, someone else will buy up all the digital assets so the forums will still be around just under a new owner. Although maybe that new owner will be some soyo who decides to shut misc down. Cant let that happen.

Honestly the bodybuilding.com journals and forums have been a great gateway for me from year one to year 11. I've been advised and helped by hundreds of people and advised and helped triple that number. The misc. has been fun, but from a business perspective, in absence of Ryan, I could see letting it go.
Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

I think supplements isnt strong sellers as they were 10 years ago. I ordered a lot here, and there were tons of competition to different supplements. Even in the supplements section, many will swamp you with their sales talk.

Are miscers potential buyers of protein and other supplements from bb.com?
Am sure they have some data...
On a business point of view, they did an awful job I guess.
Banning members sometimes for no good reasons will happen... but overall their strategy seems weak.
This place was crowded with tons of zyzz nuthuggers. These guys usually are potential protein supplement customers. Instead of doing a tribute, some mods insult him. Damn the guy is dead. Have some class.
They missed the boat with bodyspace.
They let racial threads, balding and heightism be the top 3 subjects...
Lmao... does the business owner at least look at this forum?

I buy most of my supplements on Amazon but I will occasionally buy something here to support the site. BB.com Store still has some of the best prices and I bought a bunch of stuff last Black Friday. However free shipping is a big thing now but they are doing that.

bb.com should just buy supplements in bulk from amazon and resell them for profit, fight fire with fire nomsayin.

As a consumer with the expansion of the internet.....
we have powerful search engines that can look up reviews, ingredients, and thousands of articles on supplements. 5 years ago - you would read 3 sentences and be sold on a supplement. I wouldnt say the general public is more educated on supplements but they are more savvy on letting someone else take the L and learning not to purchase a product.
This site has at times given me 1000% motivation but also 0% because of the outlandish claims/articles full of chit.

first thing to fix is the search functionality of the forums
second thing is **** off bodyspace altogether
the site is an absolute mess, it needs a decent redesign and to be simplified, the online store needs to be made great again
[edit] 14 year old forum account for sale, bidding starts at $1, reserve price $5,000

BB.com did it to themselves sadly.
Got rid of the free samples which people loved
Got rid of the MISCers in the warehouses which would write cheeky messages
Never did anything to combat free shipping from amazon
No rewards program
And the main one imo is that they banned so many people from an online community where people feel like they "belong". Every time you ban someone you lose a recurring customer. The reason this place took off was because it was the one place you could post borderline offensive ****. When everyone started being banned for this stuff, they just left and stopped buying.

All the information in the article is nothing new but it's definitely exaggerated and sensationalized. There was only the one layoff so "ongoing layoffs" definitely isn't accurate. We didn't have the best Q1 earnings but BBcom isn't going anywhere. The building is for sale because it's too big and there is a lot of wasted space.
There are a lot of big changes coming but it will all help grow the business.

I know a few people inside HQ and they usually leave for other supplement companies. Im not sure if you work out of there but DO NOT stick around if you have options presented to you.
