Honestly there's zero reason to hang on to a P365 with it's known list of problems.

I give it a year max before another manufacturer(s) matches the same size/capacity. Sig's competitors aren't going to let them be the only ones with a gun that size/cap. for long.

And the new guys' will probably actually work correctly.

I dunno, the Glock 26 has been around forever and this was the first gun that legitimately would have been superior in every aspect if it had been as reliable. Granted the concealed carry market has blown up over the last handful of years, so you'd think other manufacturers would want to put something out there that competes, but not sure it'll be within a year. Glock's answer will probably be in 5 years.

Nah, the P365 truly is a game changer IF IT HAD BEEN reliable. I am sure several manufacturers already have teams engineering theirs as we discuss this. I don't think it will be very long at all before we see it.

I know pretty much anything gun related gets debated to death but I never realized the rabbit hole I'd go down when looking up info between red and green reticles on optics.

To me it's simple. Which one does your eyes pick up quicker? Go with it. Obviously many optics don't give you any choice but red. But if I have a choice I choose green. Green fiber optic front on pistols, green reticle on ACOG (when I had one), etc.

I'll have to find somewhere with a green reticle optic to try out. Comparison photos makes it seem as though the green would pick up quicker for me but I'm not using that as a basis for decision.

Smoker brahs, I just came across this on Amazon:

https://smile.amazon.com/Masterbuilt...3Z8CVM6F372DKN

Much larger propane smoker that has automatic temperature control. I think it's only a matter of time before I grab one of these.

edit: was so excited by temp control that I didn't even notice they had a smaller one as well - which is about the same size as the one Blump and I have.

I remember looking at those before. Supposed to be good smokers once you do a few mods to them.

I've got the basic model and it's nice, but my biggest gripe is how hard it is to maintain the proper temperature, which is one of the reasons I wanted propane over a traditional smoker. I always wind up getting too hot most of the time. If this thing works as intended in holding proper temps, that would be fantastic.

Did you do the wood stove seal around the doors on it? Seems like I remembering that was one of the big ones they recommended because smoked leaked out of them pretty badly. I agree though about not wanting to spend all your time babysitting the temp, it's part of why I haven't gotten into smoking.

The P365 can't be superior in every aspect when compared to the G26. The G26 still shoots like a larger gun, is very easy to completely disassemble on your own with the most minimal of tool, and accepts every 9mm double stack Glock magazine out there.

I haven't done any mods to it at all. Just been running it like it came. And it's not the worst ever. But temp has been a little less consistent than I would have thought cooking with propane would be is all. There's no way around it though - smoking will always be an involved and time intensive process. Good ass food as a reward though.

Just lol at selling your 365. guys, worst case scenario - its under warranty. send it back to Pig pour and they'll fix it. if they announce another "voluntary" recall. then send it back. why be out 500 bucks when you could just hold on to it for the time being.

Im not even a sig sauer head but you guys go from 0 to 100 over rumors.

I will still be carrying my p365 as AIWB, but will be carrying a G43 strongside carry. No penalties for carrying a bakup gun, right? ? ?

That's not the worst case scenario I can imagine for a carry gun you can't trust.

No, the worst case scenario is you carry it and need it and when you draw, it doesn't work (because of known issues). Why carry a gun that's been proven to be unreliable?

Hopefully true. I'll just prepare myself for Kel-tec to be the only one so I'm not disappointed.

If equal cost and given the choice, I like green better.

I don't think most would agree that the 26 shoots like a larger gun. It probably CAN shoot close to one given enough practice, but I certainly shot my G19, VP9SK, P07, etc better than my 26. Comparing it to the 365 though, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the 26 was more pleasant and faster to shoot accurately, so I'll give you that one. The other two points are really not something that should matter for a concealed carry gun.
