It's the emotional addiction to food and society lying to them saying their good just the way they are, when really they should be pushing kids to be the best they can be. I've had people try to argue with me sayin "i dont have a reason to get jacked anymore, im not in sports like i was in high school" how pathetic is that ? Just lol at the excuse of not having time, you dont have time to fckin eat controlled portions ???

I just turned 36 and the last 16 years seem to be paying off now in a major way.
Not that there weren't benefits before, feeling good and the so forth. But now I'm EXTREMELY GRATEFUL I figured out how to work out and eat well.
I know guys who are 30 and have a cardiologist. Jesus, that will make you feel blessed to push the junk food away and hit the gym.

35 yrs old, balding manlet, tours over for me..
I am an outlier when it comes to sports, throw a football 60 yards, powerful hitter in softball, sweet jump shot..
You get to a point where the dieting part gets to be a mental struggle.. so I cope and bloat max.. still do cardio and train..
But here is a tidbit.. maybe 3 guys at my community pool (affluent community) have abs.. there was maybe 1 25yr old woman who was a smoke show.. and the rest of the men and women had bellies..
When I was young I felt like every dude had abs and every woman had a beautiful soft sexy feminine body and a flat but soft stomach..
I don't know what's going on.
I have 4 kids btw

"Woe is me" tends to be most people's attitude like they can't possibly control their food or beer intake or step foot in a gym a few times a week. Everyone is just lazy and stupid.

I just hit 44 and it's true. Being in shape, confident and somewhat attractive gets some uncomfortable attention. Dudes always mean-mugging. All the school mom divorcees making comments. Even if I am not in great shape by personal standards atm. On a perfect week, I dedicate only 4hrs in the gym....

Older people will be especially jealous and try tease you that you eat real food, or that you're a shallow fitaholic etc. Being eye-****ed by legal teens upwards to granny for over 3/4 of your life sounds good to me and that's why I will always continue lifting. I don't even want to imagine if you're shredded, I cruise @ 15% and I am constantly being measured up and looked at.

Coming up on 40 and currently working two FT jobs at work due to turnover at work, married, and coaching two different baseball teams that my sons are on. Also workout 5 mornings per week while the family is sleeping. If you prioritize correctly, then you can fit everything in. It's REALLY easy to make excuses as you get older, but you will regret not working out. We all know how horrible most people look and feel as they age because they don't prioritize their health.

By staying fit your longevity can increase thereby giving you better odds at being there for your kids as they get older. Ultimately you'll be fortunate to be around for grand kids..

At the end of the day it does come down to a combination of laziness and priorities (more so the former). The struggle is very real, and working a sedentary job with long hours and young kids can make it rough, but not impossible.
I work pretty long hours (~12 hours a day of actual work not including commuting) and I am also expected to spend more hours networking and bringing in clients. Realistically during the week I have maybe 4 hours a day to spend between wife, kids, and gym. It is easy to fall into the trap that "I need a fuking break" but still you have to try.
EDIT: both kids under 4 and wife works fulltime too

Can confirm....I am only 30 and I already see this. A chit ton of broads I know will openly flirt or make comments about my body because they are clearly unsatisfied with how their partner has not taken care of their bodies. The fukked up part is they would be pissed if their partner said something similar to what they have said to a broad. Seriously people turn to bloated messes after 25 if they dont take care of themselves.

Yeah totally true. I'm 44 and even Asian, and women eye-fuk me all the time. It's almost embarrassing and sad. Most people my age are fat as fuk. Girls at coffee shops hit on me all the time. And if I wear my wedding ring, then the come-ons go to 11 - because now they know for certain that I'm a worthy provider.
