I watched all 90 minutes, the colombians can dribble in the midfield, england were a bit boring to watch for the most part.

All Spain needed in 2008 was to break the mental barrier of the quarterfinals, we did it on a penalty shootout v Italy, and we won the tournament, maybe this is all England needed. It may be going home.

england's win tonight takes them to the quarterfinals.
last time england won the world cup was ages ago. only thing i can compare this to is leicester winning the premier league. i was at the victory parade for leicester.

tbh, i can't even imagine if england won it. the celebrations would be much bigger than leicester winning, and that was a huge event in itself. if they win it, it would be exactly as big as you imagine it

not really. leicester winning was the most spectacular thing i've seen in football and i'm a chelsea fan. obviously for leicester fans it would have been insane, but no doubt it was great for spectators too. england winning would be leicester winning but on a national scale

You didn't watch the game did you. England fielded substitutes because they were guaranteed to progress and not winning resulted in an advantageous placement in bracket side.

so much wrong in one post.

Leicester winning the EPL being the "most espectacular thing in football" is highly subjective to say the least. It makes it sound like the EPL is the only league in the world and a small team winning it is the ultimate achievement, I say any team outside of Barcelona or RM winning la liga is a higher achievement than Leicester winning the EPL, see what I did there?

And England is already a WC winner, they're always considered a football powerhouse despite their abysmal international record, so them winning the WC is in no way shape or form on par with Leicester winning the EPL.

That's not the point

London, Manchester, Liverpool etc etc would not be celebrating a Leicester win. Unprecedented yes but unless you're a Leicester fan that's not going to hugely impact you

The guy you were replying to was asking what the celebration were going to be like when we win so drawing a parallel to Leicester just seemed odd. The magnitude of what they did esd massive but the evnt itself in terms of celebrations in the country ar a different level

Also this is a stupid thing to even have a back and forth about. We going to the quarters boyo!!!
