Think one of the biggest factors in potential failure is the kids panicking in moments underwater etc, lets hope they are cool little thai phuckers ayy boys

Also, why cant they have a rope at the choke point they could pull on to help them navigate it? Like at the top where they have to go back down

Or maybe we wil get an update:
Rescue operation - progress update

The head of the Joint Command Centre, Narongsak Osottanakorn, has just released details about the progress of the rescue operation.

He said the operation began at 10 local time (03:00 GMT), when 13 international divers entered the cave.

He said 10 of them headed for Chamber 9 (where the boys are) and Chamber 6 (near the junction) as planned. Another three cave divers joined the operation at 14:00 local time.

There are a number of additional rescue personnel - including divers from Thailand, the US, Australia, China and Europe - stationed from Chamber 3 to the entrance.

This includes a rope system to assist over difficult terrain in Chambers 2 and 3.

While you're sitting behind your keyboard making cracks these children are literally under water crammed in a cave trying to get out, or as you not so eloquently put could be taking their last breath and expiring as you type with your pasty white keyboard warrior fingers. I've never wanted to break someone's jaw so bad as I do now.

So kids that have been surviving in the pitch dark for 10 days with no food, no energy, probably thought they will die alone and now have to make an underwater cave dive for 6 hours when many cant even swim. Yeah definitely not 'mentally tough'.

Instead of praising the human comradery for working together and trying to save lives, all you can do is criticise and whine like a bish.

From the beeb live text
Thai reports - two boys rescued
The first two boys have been evacuated from the cave, some Thai media are reporting.

There is no official confirmation of this.

The first four boys of the soccer team are on their way out. They have to walk approx. 1,2km with two dives (depending on waterlevels) to reach the rescue center which is 700m from the cave entrance

This is very awkward media reporting first two are out but hundreds of cameras outside didn’t film them get out?! Also they were expecting a group of 4 ... hope nothing went wrong down there with the 2 others as rain began to fall very hard the last 1-2 hours

Hope we see all of the first 4 alive soon!!!!

Hoping everything goes super well now that you mention it started raining. .
I didn’t know that thanks for the info, I thought they would somehow film if the boys are fine at least but we’ll have to wait. Situation just shows how risky it is I hope they won’t do any risky chit when rain keeps coming down and the two remaining groups need to hurry up.

Also the coach shouldn’t be sent to prison when he makes it out he’s maybe the one that made them last 9 days under the ground he will also leave the ship as the last one. I just pray everyone will be safe tomorrow (can’t believe it takes 2-3 days as mentioned)

They had their Mountainbikes with them and were only 900m in the cave when rain surprised them man.. also they had to go 3.7 kilometers inside then they’ve been through hell

Some news say the coach could be sent to prison

For my understanding it is forbidden to enter the cave from July upwards but the went in a week before

I'm not going to lie, I wasn't too much of an optimist about this when I read that they didn't know how to swim.

I hope they all make it out

So they aren't actually swimming out they are walking them out because the divers aren't using fins? The divers are carrying two tanks one for themselves and one for the boy. The boy is tied to two divers, one behind and one in front and they have a guide rope for him to hold on to which leads to the cave entrance. They should be fine.

From what i've been seeing on TV

It's a total ~2 miles cave....but a lot of it walkable so they only need to swim for small stretches at a time.
