In a few days I'm having double jaw surgery and I'm curious to know if any of you went through something similar. I'm wearing braces since I was 19, currently 22 and I have straight teeth, but one of my jaws should be at least 2 mm larger. Since I posted in a thread about this, I received some messages regarding the process, prices and everything that I'll get through, as well as who's my doctor. My surgery is much cheaper compared to what I heard via messages, so maybe the info will be helpful for some of you.

I'll keep this thread as a log and will update for the miscers that sent me PMs and want to really know how the recovery is. He told me that I'm gonna be tested for drugs first, because after the surgery my pain killers will be pretty heavy, he wants me to be honest regarding pain and painkillers. I'll have my jaws tied for 2 weeks(cant talk) and will eat through a syringe, face will look inflated and one month will look like chit. I looked at many stories, doctors saying ''you are ready to get back to whatever in 2 weeks'', but truth is far from it, some people start feeling their face after 6 months, some never, especially in the lower lip and chin.

Will discuss this week about how I'll look after, he wants to push my cheekbones higher and asked me if I want a rounder face, because he can cut the edges or the same Chad's jaw. I love my sharp jaw, but will see how I'd look with a different face, with his 3d program whatever.

I'm scared sometimes and other times not. I'm resisting pain really well, my first fear is dieing, thinking about making a videotape for family if I never wake up, 2nd fear is waking up in the middle of the surgery, 3rd fear is actually not liking my face afterwards.

But then I remember that mean people go last and good people go first, so I'll probably die at 198 years old.

Wow that is so fascinating OP because I've seen what getting jizzed on by a group of people does to a man, it is not pretty. I wasn't a part of it but when I was 12 or 13 I went to a sleep away summer camp and this is like when we were starting to discover porn and jacking off. Some kid brought some playboys and naked playing cards, sh*t like that with him. Anyway, one kid in our cabin was a huge tool, stole stuff like food and money from other people in our cabin. So half a dozen kids decided one night to wake up in the middle of the night at like 3 a.m and take turns jacking off in the bathroom, running out before they finished and blowing their load on the kid when he was sleeping. Literally 6-8 kids did this, all over his face, sheets, upper body, and hands, one kid also did it in his shoes. So everyone else wakes up the next morning and we all knew what had happened but this kid couldn't figure out why he was all sticky for like 15 minutes until a counselor forced it out of a kid. When the kid found out he went absolutely nuts, like certifiably crazy mental breakdown. He had to leave the camp for psychiatric treatment, worst part was after he took a shower and went to leave he stepped in the jizz shoes and also like 6 of my friends I never saw again because they got kicked out.

I didn't have face altering surgery, but I did have a cyst growing around my jaw the size of a grape. The recovery of the surgery made a bitch out of me, and is the worst thing I've experienced to date.

Yes, 2 mm can be the reason why someone's grinding their teeth for 8 hours during night time=>bruxism=>broke teeth => cavities => damaged gums.

It's more complicated than your chicken nugget brain thinks, look at other people's stories.

TBH can't wait for it because I'll be less of a fatazz. PMSF mandatory diet ftw lol.

I'm intermittent fasting for a long time and I'm using caffeine as a suppressant, will probably drink caffeine pills when he changes my elastics and I can open my mouth. He also said that I will sleep a lot because of the painkillers.

Fuk regarding your story, sounds less complicated than my case tho. How did you find your cyst ? Was it painful for more than 2 weeks ?

That can cause grinding? I have a Class 1 bite but grind in my sleep, I just wear invisalign-type retainers every night. Also had braces as an adult so retainers are a requirement regardless

She lives in Bratislava and doesn't have access to good dental care.

Her bruxism is probably related to psychological issues.

My wife is an RN and deals with lots of patients after jaw surgery.

Pro Tip:

Get a big ass turkey baster and practice blending stuff, loading it and squeezing it into your mouth. You should be able to get plenty of calories this way.

I went to my orthodontist when I was 19, I did everything needed for the braces( unaligned teeth means the space of the arcade is so small) and she found it weird that out of the last 4 molars that grow in each corner, 2 never grew. She asked me to do all the X-rays because she was curious to see if my other 2 molars are inside my gums. They were not there and she then said '' yeah, your arcade is too narrow and you're a grown up at 19, I can't fix this without surgery''. So we focused those 3 years on maintaining my teeth in a good shape and avoiding bruxism, while also making them straight.

However, she asked me to go to the surgeon's office when I started and he made me lots of pictures, front, profile, front teeth, right side teeth, left side teeth and one with a mirror in my mouth. She measured my progress and she said 2 months ago that I'm ready for the surgery, she can't move them anymore, because if she's pushing them to the outside, the root of the teeth is damaged and they will fall. And yeah, now I'm having surgery. Also, I have a small cross bite too

Can you post before pics just remove the top portion of your face.

Btw this surgery shouldn't be taken lightly usually results in 5 months most surgeons won't even perform it unless you can't eat or breathe well.

It doesn't matter if the distance seems small to you, retard, the point is, my teeth will go back to their normal first form if I do not perform the surgery, the arcade will ALWAYS be too small to accommodate all of my teeth and let them sit straight. This is the point of the surgery, leaving my teeth in a good shape for the rest of my life, not only 2 months. It's a 3 year journey with arches getting stuck in my cheeks and bleeding, eating nothing that's crunchy, brushing my teeth with 3 different types of brushes 3 times a day, doing air flows and treatments that always hurt because my gums got fking sensitive, doing oral showers etc.

If you don't know, kindly shut the fuk up.
