Regardless what happens with their stock, they built desireable, high quality, mainstream EVs and a charging network quicker than I ever thought was possible. The Model S may go down as the most imporant car of the 21st century. At least the first 20-30 years of it, anyway.

Also I just want to point out that NOBODY is making a profit on electric cars. The entire industry is unprofitable at the moment. But the idea is that technology will advance and more people will start using them and it will become profitable over time

I'm pretty sure his investors know the cash flow of the company, yet they still throw money at him. You do realize that he made electric cars "cool", right? Nobody gave a damn about electric cars until Tesla - and now other major car companies are following suit.
He did for cars what Apple did for cell phones.
And just LMAO if you don't think Tesla's patents and infrastructure are worth BILLIONS. As if a company wouldn't swoop in and buy them if they ever needed to sell.
And if you actually researched why Tesla burns through so much money, it's because they heavily re-invest every dime they have into R&D as well as the Gigafactory.
Once Tesla gains footing in their manufacturing process, you better believe they'll be in the black.
