that's not something you experience when your heart is broken

do you even empathy ?

he's not feeling confident and cocky, he's trying to reach out for support while also trying to remain optimistic in an unfavourable situation

When I got out of a very LTR recently I'm glad I didn't make a thread, judging by some of these responses

I just had doughnutking and some age:48-multis chatting to me about it in a random thread, they were all very compassionate and respectful. That is why I have all the time in the world for the age 48 multis compared to some of these long term miscers lol

Strong username to situation ratio.

Hang in there. Don't get irrational or (obviously don't get violent) or lose your temper or raise your voice when arguing.Assume EVERY interaction you have with her is being taped to be shown to a court.

Strong fella I know you feelin' good about financials being straight due to infidelities n such, but dam man- it might not hurt to move some money around prior to showing the courts your financials assuming she doesn't have access to all savings/investment accounts. Now might also be a good time to make some risky options investment decisions that can either pay big and you have lots of money that didn't exist prior to divorce proceedings or you lose it, but can claim it against your income taxes in 6 months... I think you see where this is going lmao

Sorry to hear this OP. Almost everyone where I work over 30 years old is divorced , and they survived it .
I work daily with one coworker that divorced twice by the time he was in his mid forties .
He said he wishes he never married the second phyco sloot , but like I told him, look at the great kid you got out of the deal .
Itโ€™s unfortunate getting divorced ,but youโ€™ll recover and prosper . And at some point sheโ€™ll look back and realize what sheโ€™s lost when itโ€™s to late

I think it's mostly the person. If they're someone that can attach quickly, tend to be impulsive and emotionally volatile, I think they can also detach just as quickly. And women just tend to fit that criteria more (emotional instability) to varying degrees.

It's also kinda shocking in the sense that it seems like they love you more than you love them, and are so incredibly invested in you, and then they can just move on and attach to a new guy very quickly. I don't think it means it wasn't 'real'; it was real, it's just more fleeting than for an emotionally stable person whose feelings are gradual and increase over time with trust, respect etc.

I'd be inclined to agree with you. Maybe even venture to say that their ability to attach quickly also helps them override previous attachments.

Well aware on the phenomenon of them seeming more invested than you, it's a very confusing thing when you're unfamiliar with it, but also easy to see through once you've experienced it a couple times.

I was unfamiliar with it, but my gut sensed something was off. It made no sense why she'd be so attached to me and adore me so quickly. I actually recall how she looked at me on the 3rd date, I described it as these longing, empty eyes looking up at me in adoration. My gut turned out to be right, because poor behaviors surfaced soon afterwards, due to abandonment fears.

It basically didn't make any sense why she would be so invested in me so quickly. I'm not that special, lol. But it sure does feel good to have a cute & pretty girl adore you.

All I can say is sorry bro. You're doing a pretty good job of acting cool, but let's be honest you must be hurting like a motherfuker inside. Hitting up some pitty pussy is not going to make the fact that she completely betrayed your trust any easier. But time will heal it. Hang in there mane.

Made me sad to read you have a kid. Even if she's a really good mom it'll still suck for your child. Focus on what's best for her and don't let the court stuff ruin your relationship with her beyond repair. She is a cheating kunt, but it would be best for your kid if you stayed on friendly terms.

Sloots gon sloot.

lmao all very true. the longing look, the "how did i ever deserve you" or some iteration, the abandonment issues. p much a dating starter pack

It feels great to have them hanging off your every word and whim. Then comes the crushing debilitation when you realize that it was them, not you, and they've already moved on as your first tear starts to roll down your cheek

Unthinkable?

I'm guessing you're completely unaware that marriage/divorce statistics exist?

Between those statistics, and stats regarding infidelity rates within marriages, getting married is almost like trying to make money gambling at the casino.

Focus on your child, women will come and go. You'll eventually find the right one, and this divorce will be nothing but a distant memory.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.
