Women past 25 are too old to be considered to start a family with

You meet them at 25, date for a minimum of three years before propsal, then minimum a year to get married that puts them at 29. I want 3/4 kids which takes at least 5-6 years , leaving her at 35 or right at the end of prime motherhood years

Remember this is using shortest possible time frames , and 35 is pushing it. Ideally you want 20-23 year old candidates

Gf and I are both 25 now and been together for 6 years. I'd get married and start having children now if we could afford to but chit's so expensive. I basically agree with you though, got to start before 30.

Before 2nd wave feminism, the median age for women getting married (1st marriage) was 20. For men, it was 23.

After 50 years of feminist activism (2nd and 3rd waves), those numbers had climbed to 26 and 28 respectively.

A "strong and independent woman" who "doesn't need a man" can get a whole lot of experience with a whole lot of men in those extra 6 years. However, the more partners, the harder it will be for her to pair bond. Also, the longer she waits to have a family, the smaller the family will be and the more risk of complications.

It's not hard to see why young women trying to have a career before marriage, while spending their weekends partying, is leading to a lot of unfulfilled and unhappy thirtysomething year old women. The Sex and the City lifestyle from TV doesn't lead to happiness, but these young women buy into it hook, line, and sinker.

It's actually a reasonable plan, OP. Timing kids before her 35th birthday makes sense from a fertility perspective and to limit the risk of chromo****l abnormalities; older is possible but riskier. You also don't want to limit the pool of candidates to women who weren't selected by other men in their 20s (i.e., waiting too long means you only get to choose women who other men didn't choose).

Anyways, I'd say that's ideal for most men who want to settle down at some point.

I met my girl two years ago when she was 23. While the future is always unknown, there's a good chance that I'll marry her. Never really considered marriage before, but she got me to come around to the idea.
