Any updates? Anyone know for sure if this will stay a Cat 3 and below? If it gets to a Cat 4, they're going to order us to evacuate. Fuark I don't want to evacuate. Just want to chill.

It’s strengthened to CAT 4 quickly. It’s nearly a CAT 5. The Panhandle has never had a storm this bad hit. I was gonna stay but it got stronger so I got out of Dodge.

I'm in Tallahassee and so far the power has went out twice. It just came back on, so I'm getting my internet in before it inevitably goes out again. Looks like we're riding this one out, sadly, no evacuation has been ordered for my area.

if you live near the coast where the storm surge as, and you are worried about water. and you are staying because you have to or want to. if you have access to your attic, make sure you bring a cutting tool to evacuate. you do not want to be trapped in an attic. an axe/saw zall and such will do the job.

the last two storms that hit US land of this magnitude were Andrew and Maria in Puerto Rico. So just think about that level damage.

Yeah I have a bad feeling about this one. People have gotten complacent with the media hyping every one of these, this one is gunna do srs damage and this part of FL hasn't gotten hit this hard in a century.

the issue with this storm, is that alot of the locals have been used to all these North GOM storms that almost always weaken once they get close to land, but this beast continues to defy all logic and seems to still be strengthening like 60 miles or so from shore
