as long as the meat from the animals were used I don't really have a problem with it. Apparently the meat is used to feed communities so I'm fine with it
but lol @ taking enjoyment of killing a family of baboons doubling down on it by sending out 100 emails and gloating about it, he did it to get some sort of response out of it for sure.

I am going to ask the hard-hitting questions...
Does Giraffe taste like chicken or beef?
How about Baboons? And if you did cook one, could you plate the meal with it's arse up as to be more colorful?

I've been hunting deer, doves, ducks and turkeys since I was 5 years old. I don't think I could ever shoot an elephant or a baboon but I don't know anything about African wildlife. Maybe they need population control or are a nuisance to local farmers

Tradie I went to high school with saved up money for a trophy hunting trip in south Africa. He only got a zebra. Dude saved up for years and flew all the way to Africa just to shoot a horse.

Bet the hunter has higher T than the maker of this soy thread. If this rustles you, then it’s easy to understand why you don’t enjoy basic human rights like speech and guns, but do enjoy Habib and Mohammed’s balls on your chin.

As far as this guy bragging and posting the pictures? He is an idiot. What kind of response did he think he would get? Shooting a 'family' of baboons, does not sound so 'conserving' but it is reported that baboons are a pest animal in most places. This article posted below though is just nonsense.
"It's an industry that Africa couldn't do without."
While trophy hunting does bring in some capital to African countries, it makes up as little as 1.8 percent of tourism revenues. The majority of tourists come to see Africa's wildlife, not kill it. In the first year of the ban, the country brought in around $344 million from nonlethal tourism.
It states how much money the country brought in from nonlethal tourism, but not how much was lost or went elsewhere due to the ban. If you can kill a "trophy" animal (it's not a trophy IMO) with your bare hands, go ahead. You earned it.
You can't call it sport when you're guaranteed to win. I hate these people who kill endangered and just plain cool animals for fun. Like, there's nothing challenging when you have a firearm and they have teeth... nothing about that is a sport. You just aim and shoot. Sickening tbh.

Also, unless you are a strict vegan i.e. do not eat or use any form of animal products, including eggs, leather and so on, your comments are also hypocritical. Knowing the British fondness of bacon, roast beef and ‘bangers’ I somehow doubt that…!!
My colleagues will no doubt frown upon the fact that I have even bothered to respond to such a very rude e-mail, but I do believe that you are ignorant of the facts, and therefore wish to enlighten you.
Animals hunted for their trophies meet a far better end than domestic stock that are herded into pens, transported to abattoirs and then killed surrounded by the sight, sound and smell of death.
Wild animals are hunted in their natural habitat and, in 95% of cases, are killed instantly with one shot without even knowing that the hunter is anywhere near them. What an ideal way to go!!
Every inch of the animal is utilized. The skin and horns go to the trophy hunter, and the meat is used to feed local communities as well as sold commercially.
Trophy hunting creates thousands of jobs and therefore supports thousands of families. In my own trophy hunting operation we employ 20 people as well as feed 288 children at a local village school with venison from the trophy hunt – without hunters these children would not have regular access to protein.
If it were not for trophy hunters wild animals in most parts of Africa would have little value for the locals and would be killed indiscriminately as they complete with livestock (cattle, sheep and goats) for grazing and water, as well as with human beings for agricultural land and urban development.
Have you ever considered that domestic stock are the most utilized animals on earth, and yet no-one ever considers that they might become extinct? The reason is that human beings are dependent on them as an essential part of the food chain. Through trophy hunting our wild animals are given a value which makes them absolutely essential for the livelihood of farmers and communities. They will therefore be managed correctly in order to ensure their survival.”
Sounds like he was able to do something he enjoys and help hundreds of people at the same time.
I eat meat, so even if I’m disturbed by those pictures I’m not hypocritical enough to cry over it.

But I agree with this. I'm not a huge fan of hunting, but I know many many people that do it, and I'm the first one in line to beg for some venison. Trophy hunting sucks for sure, but if the meat is being used and the animal isn't going to waste, then what is really the harm?
We hunt m friend's property in Va because if we don't, populations get out of control. They actually NEED to be hunted. I'm sure it might not be the same over there, but whatever.

Society shouldnt stop big game hunters. This is their outlet to kill things and get the "public accolades" or "public horror" they desire. These are the exact same people that would be dancing around in a skin suit made up of your neighbors remains if they werent killing and then posing with a giraffe...
I would place strong odds if Jeffrey Dahmer could have slaughtered a family of baboons he wouldnt have been dining on human remains.
People that take joy in killing animals or need to publicly advertise their brutality are not right in the head. These people always have the same crazy eyes and a weird smile as they hold up the head of the dead thing they just killed. What drives these people to personalize their kill and show it off? Normal well adjusted people do not take pride in killing a living thing. They may kill based upon the necessity of food or to protect themselves but they dont find joy in taking life. If there is joy or pride in taking life, something is broken.
...and I grew up in the country and fully support hunting for food.
