I have a long list of things I would "Take care of" and then a long list of things "I've always wanted to do", along with the eventual things " I never even though of doing" since finances were always a limiting factor in normal life.
But to put it into perspective as with most of us, we grew up in middle class families, and know the value of $1, along with the harsh realities that come along with an average existence...
... I would probably be considered a degenerate, selfish scumbag, only looking out for his friends and family. While doing crazy outlandish ****, while still doing my best to have people leave me the fck alone.

Good post. I'd:
-pay off all debts
-accelerate my surgerymaxxing tenfold.
-keep working
-still try to get a good MBA. Just lived at a much higher luxury and travel more. Probably hire a maid and chef. Get a couple sick cars. Couple of houses. Max out investments.

Probably drop $200M in 3 or 4 different banks and constantly threaten to move my money if they don't provide top-notch service and guarantee 5% interest annually lol.
I don't know how much I'd trust a single financial advisor...
As much as people say "everyone would know who you are" that's not really the case. Your avg person will forget your name in a week and in a year you'll be completely forgotten. It's FAMILY and close friends that you really have to worry about. The people who would still (most likely) be in your life after you win. If they aren't good people (or they become greedy/selfish after)... things can go bad quick.

Nice house in nature. Live the philosophers life. Never having to worry about making ends meet and going wherever I want to.
Don't really want that much tbh. Would probably give away a big share to people who actually need it.

Buy acres of prime and bountiful land in some heavenly setting, maybe an island or two.
Invest modestly and wisely, taking no big risks.
Give generously to charities of interest.
Pursue hobbies or creative endeavors while maintaining discretion.
I will not allow myself more than 4 luxury cars at a time and will not purchase a superyacht.
I may purchase a private jet depending on logistics.

Redeem all upfront, show my face all over the news, go to every bank within 10mi radius and collect as many $1 bills as possible. Go to the strip club and start dumping suitcases of bills on the sloots every night until I’m broke and then go find a job as cart retriever at local grocery store and tell my story to everyone.

I’d hang with Dan bulzarian. Design a sick home and build it. Doesn’t have to be a mansion but something woth unique architecture. Like on those shows woth rich houses on cliffs or Greek beeches. Maybe something in green mountains area. Bang so many in my sick house and have sick parties. Models djs and my friends.

If I had the cash, I think I'd make my gothic style horror film. A throwback to the Hammer horror films from years ago.

Something like this, a you'd probably end up with a corporation somewhere in the loop for tax purposes. So you'd have a company or companys, a trust and you'd be the owner of the companies as well as a director. You and your family would be the beneficiaries of the trust. That would be my guess anyway.

Ok, here we go, come on come on, here we go:
1. Do not sign ticket and place it in a safe deposit box at the bank
2. Start building a team of tax attorney's, trust attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, etc.
3. Collect winnings anonymously thru a trust and/or LLC if that is possible (don't know if you can do that in California)
4. Invest $200 million in various stocks, bonds, real estate, index funds, hedge funds, etc. I would want high risk, medium risk, and low risk investments. I would also want to invest in start up companies and be an angel investor.
5. I would give money and gifts to my closest friends and family but not sure how much.
6. Custom build my dream mansion. Buy a fleet of exotic luxury cars and hyper cars. Purchase fractional ownership in a private jet.
7. I would be interested in starting a night club business. I think it would be fun, it would be a good way to up my social status and meet hot girls, possibly rub shoulders with celebrities, etc.
8. Divide whatever money is left between 10 different foreign and domestic bank accounts
9. If I ever meet any recording artists that are unsigned and I believe in them, I would probably start a record label and sign them and invest into them.
5-10 years after winning the lottery, some of my investments probably would have blown up at this point and made me a multi-billionaire. It is at this point that I will take a huge chunk of that money and use it to run for President of the United States of America.

Anyway, I'd go and get financial and tax advice from a couple of different firms. Bonus points if they can explain it so I can understand it. I'd confidently create my own investment portfolio for 10 million but 900 million is a different matter...it's more at a corporate level.
Would disperse money to friends and family and charity, most likely would set up trusts to provide ongoing income rather than massive lump sums.
Would buy a decent size block of land in the Southern Highlands of NSW, like 100 acres +. Build a large but not crazy size house out of sandstone there. Would need part time cleaner and gardener, probably wouldn't get a cook or chauffeur. Would get a security consultant.
I would travel all over the world, luxury travel with Mrs Beer and more backpacking style for me. When at home I would train reasonably hard, probably get someone to teach me to box. I'd do some ongoing education stuff, probably start with learning classical French cooking and go from there. Play poker. Go hiking. That kind of thing.
