She's been acting weird, hiding her phone screen from me, growing distant even though I've been trying extra hard. All the standard red flags. With a heavy heart, I looked at the texts that were forwarded to me by HIS wife. She's been sleeping with a surgeon from her work for lord knows how long. One of her sloot friends was also in her ear, encouraging her "to go get it, girl!" One I've known for years who has long pretended to care about me. I wouldn't wish that emotional gut punch on anyone. Told her to GTFO, obviously. Kind of want to die now.

Now, there is a silver lining here. My life is not over. You know why?I have always been in the no marriage/no kids camp.She is going to walk with nothing, deservedly. Her name isn't on my mortgage, no kids to use as leverage, and my investments are still mine. Her friends and family have scolded me for years for "refusing to grow up," but it was the smartest decision I ever made.

I dated a surgeon and I interacted with some of his friends, you'd be surprised if you'd know how fuked up most of them are regarding addictions and women. The most vicious people I ever met are doctors, my ex told me stories about holding a cigarette for a senior surgeon in his first residency year, during surgeries, cause the senior really needed the nicotine. Also, the jokes about the patients and messing around with the nurses, sleeping around with them like it's a hobby.

However, he treated me really nice. Maybe I'll give him a second chance one day.
