How come nobody on the misc has a regular job?

Everyone here seems to be a CEO or make at least 80k per year why

A bunch of my parents' friends are unlicensed plumbers and have been making over 300k a year just from that for 20+ years as immigrants who barely speak English. Ended up buying properties and are millionaires because of it.

One of my friends is a union building "engineer" which is basically a glorified janitor and makes 150k a year because his overtime pay is ridiculous.

80k is damn poverty broski, that's paycheck to paycheck. 81k is where the true wealth is built. Invest that 1k extra a year and you'll have 10 million by the time you retire according to misc investing experts.

an unlicensed plumber will not make 300K. My step father is the owner of a commercial and high-end residential plumbing company. he's been a licensed master plumber for 25 years. He makes like 200K profit each year. Which is certainly good, but c'mon where on earth will an unlicensed plumber get a 300K salary from?

Most of us do have regular jobs. Most salaries get inflated because they feel insecure in threads about it though. Usually the salaries start normal and then they get more and more inflated throughout the thread.

Honestly, i went to college and have a BA. I chose poorly and hated my job while at the same time making no money. 4 years into my tradie job I was making what it would have take around 15 years in my career. Ive peaked, my glass ceiling (muck like Hillary's) will not be shattered.

80K is not CEO status, and certainly not that much in today's climate. I'm not sure why this is so hard to believe......

Although, I am sure there are some around here are inflating what they really make.
