Yeah.

Lifting, cardio, team sports, solid sleep, healthy diet, and beyond all that if you're in perfect physical health, therapy and/or meditation.

Also read this:https://meaningness.com/metablog/stem-fluidity-bridgeand other posts about nihilism on that site. Robert Kegan's model of adult development posits that modern society screws a large amount of people over because there's a nihilistic stage that people become stuck in and society doesn't provide the framework to get out of it.

During each stage of development a person needs their surroundings to support them in certain ways and challenge them in other ways. It's been a while since I read the details so I can't go into specifics but essentially our current societal structure is really effective at progressing people through the first few stages but then it tends to dump them into the pit of nihilism without an escape route.

My family is cynical and my GF has some issues as well. I need to be outside and doing chit (going for runs, hiking, traveling etc) but all i do is rot at home.

I feel better when i do these things but it's very rare since i have no friends

Determine what steps you can take towards being able to do more of what makes you happy (runs/hikes/traveling).

Doesn't need to be accomplished all in one step, just make many tiny decisions whenever possible that will make it more likely that you engage in those activities. Eventually your life will start to take the form that you desire

No. they're impossible to conquer so why even bother trying? even if you do conquer them, what does it matter anyway? we're only here for a blink of an eye in the grand scheme of things anyway.

I did. My dad is the most pessimistic person on the face of the earth, so naturally it became part of my personality throughout most of my early life. Took a lot of effort but you gotta just fukin relax and look at negatives/sufferings as a chance to fukin conquer them and be a bad mofo. You can't be a hard dude if everything is always great, so take joy in the unpleasant and it won't bother you as much because you know the reward of conquering it feels amazing.

Everything is meaningful, and you bear a heavy load of responsibility because of it, you create ripples with every action you take that you can't even comprehend because it is so profoundly invisible at times.

Or

Nothing is meaningful, you bear no real responsibility, and nothing matters becasue we are all going to die.

Both are true, pick one.

Seems to me that bearing little responsibility is easier, but the con is a lack of meaning in your life, and therefore nihilism.

Yes

Two things.

-Cut out bad habits and negative people. Both will drag you down and fill you with resentment and frustration.
-Find a good reason to live (fulfilling job, family, etc) and suddenly things won't seem so meaningless.

I don't know where to meet people who are introverts and like sports. They are all extroverted and in groups. It's impossible to make friends with people already in groups.

There are several ways.

If you want to do it without help from others and use of mind altering substances, it's mainly a matter of practice. Your thoughts are a function of habit, also known as behavior. Behavior can be changed through repetition. Pick up a couple of books on behavioral therapy, read them, comprehend the methodology, commit to it as a program, then practice it for 6 months.

Of course you won't because you don't want to change. You're madly in love with the rancid stench of pain and misery that permeates every facet of your existence. Keep reveling in it till your time comes *******, it's the destiny you've chosen.

I don't have any coworkers my age. All i want is to talk baseball with someone and hit the fields for batting practice or something. I met a couple people years ago that were into sports and college athletes but that chit doesn't happen anymore.

Go to a sports bar and watch some games and shoot the **** with some bros. Heck even download the MeetUp app and try to meet some people. You say it's impossible, but I literally just moved to the opposite side of the country 6 months ago and have a huge network of friends and multiple **** buddies, so obviously it's not impossible, you just have to put yourself out there. You have to TRY, but I know you're not willing to do that.

at least baseball is a sport old/fat people can do. I'd say join a softball team but if all your coworkers suck then its gonna be hard. If you are/were good at baseball see if they have a semi pro or adult league team. I played semi pro football for a few years and that was the only motivation I had to workout after college besides girls.

Dude i'm not a social person something changed in my brain recently that made me a hermit and not want to be around people.

Everyone is in groups at bars it's impossible for an FA to make friends at a place like that.

Plus i've already mentioned it a billion times that when i go out people always stare at me or bother me. It makes me not even want to go anywhere alone. I live in a small city and know a lot of people that bother me.

So YOU have limitations that are a result of YOU, not anyone else. So stop complaining about other people and how everyone else sucks/there's no one to meet/it's impossible/etc. It's very easy, just not for YOU.
