Leaving everything aside, Jones is still a sick fighter. It's just a tragedy somehow that all that talent manifests in an otherwise chitty human being.
I'm not saying that MMA fighters need to be positive examples for kids (at least, not necessarily), but this guy...
Is there even anyone who could beat him in a fight (period)? I'm not optimistic about DC's chances in another rematch. And Jones has previously talked about his flexibility moving between weight classes...

Looks like people are still crying about Jones PED usage, despite the fact that he's also been destroying PED fighters his entire career. Everybody is yelling out that GSP or Anderson or Aldo are the GOAT, yet they all used PED as well. Grow up and accept that Jones is the GOAT.

I think the only time DC had a chance against him was when Jones returned and fought OSP. He had trouble with the guy, even when OSP had an injured arm early on in the fight.Leaving everything aside, Jones is still a sick fighter. Wow at the NUnes Cyborg fight.
It was like Fedor Werdum in a sense that everyone thought one fighter was invincible, including that fighter, and MMA Gods punished the fighter for arrogance and blind bulrush.
Crazy that not only does Nunes hit hard and precise, but that Cyborg’s chin might have expired. Time waits for no man. And yes, I said man. GTFO. She is more man than Michelle Obama.

2. if you look at Amanda Nunes body movements and flow, she has a very anabolic kind of fluid flexibility and body composition. Adding power to that was not gonna slow down her combos. Brb you take how good she is at strikes, combos and movement, and you add power to it? there is no downside.

On a positive note I'm fairly sure that unlike Rousey, this won't mentally break Cyborg and send her to the WWE.

Nunes said her coaches told her that as soon as she landed a shot that Cyborg would lose her composure and come after her wanting to brawl. Cyborg fell right into that trap and tried to brawl with a fighter that has quicker hands, better accuracy, and right hand with power. Cyborg simply had no experience fighting another powerful woman with skill.

Anderson was GOAT and didn’t move up weight for a title fight, neither did GSP, and Aldo. He doesn’t have to prove a thing to anyone. His record speaks for itself.

GSP moved UP in weight to fight bisping, just last year - again, to chase a title.

I watched an interview of her (Cyborg) saying how she's a much smarter fighter now, doesn't rely on power/brawling, how she thinks more, etc.
Didn't look very smart to me. She went full retard in there and paid for it.

Jones reach is a huge advantage, and he uses it well
Gus fought bad
I don't understand why people stand at range with Jones, he has a huge range advantage. You cannot fight on the outside against a fighter that out ranges you, it puts you at a huge disadvantage to do so.
Think about if 1 fighter were holding a bat that is 30 inches in length. The fighter with a bat can now hit you from arms length, plus 30 fking inches away. Would it make sense to fight at a distance of arms length, plus 30 inches against such a fighter? No. You'll get hit, and not be able to hit, only outcome there is a lose.
This is basic logic, yet these guys are the best fighters the world has to offer? Just blows my fkin mind.
DC has the right idea, that clinch dirty boxing style. He hit Jones with so many uppercuts in that one fight, it's surprising Jones didn't get knocked out.
I think DC can beat Jones, obviously he can, the guy can beat anyone. It's even possible DC beats Jones more often than Jones beats DC. If you understand variance, you'll know that two fights isn't nearly enough to have a good idea about who the better fighter is. In fact you couldn't fight enough times to ever know with any degree of certainty.
But... if you think it's just mere coincidence that the guy with the longest reach just happens to be doing so well, I dunno what to tell ya. Being able to hit someone, when they cannot hit you is everything. It even hits at the core of our evolution to being top predators. A lion will fuking rape any one of us toe-to-toe, but if we climb a tree and start throwing rocks at tat lion... that lion can no longer hit us, while we can hit it. Reach is a huuuuuggggggeeeeeeeeeeeee advantage. "But Stefan Struve has just as long reach, and he's not as good as Jones."... yeah you can have long reach, go full retard, and not use it.

The thing is the labs that do the tests test beyond the ranges that WADA even calls for. Typically you only test to nanograms but in an effort for these private labs to try and stand out amongst each other they say "oh yeah well we can test for even smaller amounts!" But the amounts are so tiny they are 100% not giving any performance enhancing benefits IF they're even there at all. There's a +/- range of statistical error. The amount Jon tested positive for isn't even sanctionable by WADA. And the microdosing argument doesn't make sense for what he tested for.
There's more to it then that but against forum rules to discuss in depth.

I don't understand how Gustafsson skill went down the drain so fast.
Third fight in 3 years, just sat around waiting for big names.
And calling out fighters.
Should just retire.
......................
lightweight division is garbage now.
who can they even offer to Jones (if he doesn't get caught pissing hot again)
other than forcing Cormier to fight
only other fight might be Yoel Romeoro at 205 vs Jones

what you guys think of
Stipe Miocic vs Jones at heavy weight?
Miocic is light for heavyweight think last fight was 220.
Jones probably walks around 220
