14" in a partial day (mostly overnight). Indiana. School and class canceled for one day. Didn't ice really so not too bad, just hard to get everybody out of all of the parking lots at first.

It's probably a lot more fun to visit than live in.

No doubt. Just seeing that much snow falling would be cool. Then I would want to GTFO before it melts.

Actually that snow I'm thinking of was 14.2" apparently. December 2004.

And the record for this area is 24". I could go for a 24" snow. That would be pretty fun.

We got over 300 inches of snow twice when I was growing up. The most in one storm was probably 30 inches. Worst windchill was -55. Upper michigan gets cold. And snowy.

This (below) was me . . . first huge snowstorm after we bought the house. This is round 2 on the snowblowing on the sidewalk around the house, following the trail I made the first run a few hours earlier.

That wasn't the most snow we ever got out here, though. We got 38" when we lived at the other house. The piles of snow on the sides of the driveway from clearing the snow were over my head on both sides.

Srs question though, what do you brahs think of Trump?

I honestly believe he's an NYC fraud. Born and raised Manhattan liberal who's masquerading as a conservative just because he wanted the feather in his cap of being president.

I did vote for him and will vote for him again though, because at least he'll pretend stand for what conservatives believe just to remain in office. I am definitely still weary of what his true stance is on gun control, though.

I think Trump is significantly less-bad than any of the late game Dim candidates could ever be. Which seems to be about all we can hope for these days. With the SCOTUS on the line, which we all knew going into 2016, having an R even if he leans RINO in the 'house and an R majority Senate was pretty nice.

I really like his SCOTUS picks.

He's easily the least worst choice, no doubt. I just hate his attitude. Aside from making SCOTUS picks, the only thing he seems to be really good at is energizing the left and making members of his own party/Independents less and less likely to support him.

I'd really hate to see what happens if he alienates people to the point where Democrats take back control of Congress and the Presidency.

My "bad experience" was due to my own stupidity and not taking it easy for several days after. Everything else was fine.

But . . . give it a day or so and you probably won't be feeling as chipper after the meds subside and the swelling kicks in. When your baggage turns the color of an eggplant, it's a little disturbing. Lots of ice and DO NOT decide you feel fine in a few days and start exerting and lifting heavy stuff.

Got some prescription pain meds. I’ll just be sleeping and playing PS4 the next few days. Have heard way too many stories of people going lift on stuff, etc because they felt good a day or two after and paying the price.

When I had mine done, we lived at our old house . . . walk-out basement with a long staircase down to the back yard from the front gate that I built. It was made of wood & pavers and I always picked up the lawnmower and carried it down to the back yard to mow so I wouldn't chew the crap out of my nice stairs that I made. This was a nice, heavy lawnmower.

I was feeling pretty spry several days after my vasectomy and decided it would be a good idea to mow the lawn. So a mowed the front lawn and then carried the mower down the steps to the back yard and mowed the back yard . . . then carried the mower back up to the garage to put it away. My boys were not happy with me for a few days after. Had to re-ice and really take it easy to get things to settle down again. Was not the smartest thing I ever did.
