Age 21-27 I had a solid physique going on. Thick back and arms. good delts. It's just slowly eroded over these last three or four years and now I look in the mirror an its pretty depressing.

By 31 your joints are basically dust, heart slowing, teeth wearing away, and muscular atrophy is outpacing any gains you could possibly make. Soon your adult children will be wiping your ass for you. Death is knocking at your door, fella.

as you grow older it's less about physique and bb'ing and more about being active to keep your body in shape.

work, family, kids etc leave you no time to meal prep, get 5 meals in and hit the gym for 90 minutes.

Im a naturally skinny guy. I could understand being a large framed guy and slacking off, you still look decently big/normal, but if you slack off as a skinny guy you look pretty bad. imo. I get what you're saying though.

Lifetime nattie. I guess my test hasn‘t really declined that much, I was always a late bloomer.

When I started to get serious again three years ago, it was hard and I did not expect to get anywhere near my best. Then I said **** it and just trained like an animal, as if I was half my age. Many of it is just in your head.

32 and in the best shape of my life. Been in the gym consistently since 20. I absolutely don't buy the you fall apart as you age and your metabolism withers away nonsense. Ask yourself three questions:

1. Do you burn as many calories per day as when you were young? (Same activity level).
2. Do you work out as hard/consistently as when you were young?
3. Are you consuming more daily calories then when you were young?

With most of my peers I've observed their daily activity level dropped (burning less over-all calories). Their stress levels increased (Wife/kids/day to day stuff). And their caloric intake increased. Obviously with all of that comes increased bodyfat, increased tiredness/sluggishness, and decreased testosterone. I know quite a few older guys (40s-50s) that are still in great shape. 12-15% body fat. Still carrying plenty muscle mass and healthy. Its all bout consistent nutrition and consistent training.

No age is too old, and if you keep at it consistently, you won't lose a damn thing.
I'll be 45 this year and I've been natty my whole life.
I train consistently and it shows.
I'm definitely high mileage from my mil time, but besides that, I've trained smart and stayed healthy.

Edit: and I started out skinny. That doesn't mean squat.

Wonder how guys like Joe Rogan feel every day.

He said he's on some 'help' but the way he works out, BJJ, boxing, and keeping 200lbs+ on that manlet frame at 50+ has to take its toll.
