Me personally, I'm above the average for my age range, almost double if I did well enough during my most recent interview for a job transition. (Currently at ~$65K salary, hopefully $80k+ salary soon, below the age of 25).

cope, lets talk about how much you take home, not how much you make on paper, then lets factor in the cost of living in your area, then about how much you are taxed... etc.

Doing pretty good for my age even when converted to Canadian (120k+ CAD before mafia taxes) still horrible though.

"Average" people generally speaking are useless.

I'm upper middle class in the DC Metro.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

It's median, not medium, which is actually the number you want to make sure the ultra high income and ultra low income people don't skew it. Median basically means if you pick a random household in the US, they are around 95% likely to make within a couple standard deviations of the median income.

Notsureifsrs.

If you didn't develop an app (or e-commerce site for you old heads) in high school then I feel sorry for you.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

Let me rephrase, my household's income is enough to get me into the upper middle class.

Currently make 46k CAD over the median house hold income on my own, my gf and I combine for 126k above the median . She's and engineer and I'm in management. 31 years old.

Life's pretty much easy mode but we both paid our dues to get here. Life's been blessed, I'm grateful for the struggles and how life's treated me.

Yea exactly. $85k was the median pharmacist salary 20 years ago. If you are making anything under a hundred nowadays you are either a dumbass or working 25 hrs per week.
