I’d just like to remind everyone that D&D said that Dany forgot about the iron fleet.
Let me repeat that.
She forgot about the iron fleet.
You might be asking yourself, "The iron fleet that they just talked about prior to leaving Winterfell?"
Yes, the very same. And she forgot about them.
Oh yeah, and she couldn’t see them while flying on a dragon hundreds of feet in the air.
Let me repeat that.

lmao at people thinking the coffee cup was a mistake, D&D have been hinting that Starbucks is the Drink that was Promised since season one

Rushed is the name of the game with these last few seasons
Maybe this was all too ambitious for the timelines available and now we’re seeing the result. They probably could have stretched S6-8 over another five or six. D&D pushes for Season 8 to be a series of movies instead of a season of TV, but that obviously didn’t pan out

I must admit I didn't consider a trap like that either, I thought everyone on Cersei's side would be in some defensive position in and around King's Landing.

I bet they won't let Jon pick up Howland Reed either on his way south ... maybe better at this point, they're struggling to wrap up the existing plotlines as it is. :/

I’m betting, Jon, creepy bro and his sisters came up with some kind of idea during that meeting and will be bringing Dany down. I might watch this last episode to see if there’s any clues. Why else skip it? Would Sansa really run off to Tyrion and spill the beans that fast? She must have gotten some honor from her father. Just a hunch, or I’m hoping for too much still haha

Overall I liked the episode.
Felt like GoT again. Carys is back to being Varys. Tyrion got called out on just being a scared drunk. We will see, if he sides with Varys or has the dude executed.
Liked the Jaimie/Brienne romance and the ensuing drama as well.
The two parts, that were bad to were:
1) Bronn just apearing out of nowhere and threatening people like he is the goddamn batman. How did he get into Winterfell? Than randomly leaving after his threats does not make sense either. I mean anyone in his right mind would send the Hound, Arya or just 20 good men from house Bolton after Bronn and get his head.
2) Those damn scorpions shooting everything to crap. Okay the dragon was injured, limping and couldn't dodge. It is still unlikeable but not impossible to be hit. What really made no sense is how hard those bolts hit in general. They didn't just impale the dragon, they shot right trough entire ships. Where does this firepower come from?
They also might just be prostitutes.

Dragons were meant to be f*cking unstoppable, yet in the show we get dragons dying from scorpion shots that should be bouncing right off the dragons. They're pretty ****ing fragile in the show which makes no sense when we're supposed to think back to 6 kingdoms and hundreds of thousands of soldiers being no match for just 3 dragons.

Regarding the Starbucks coffee.
You would think that this would be a no brainer right? Easy to see and fix? Nope.
I see this all of the time IRL. People think that movie directors, writers, editors etc are these completely professional and highly skilled experts. They aren't. Same goes for Doctors and lawyers and anything else a human does. Most people either aren't as good at doing things as we think they are, or they are just lazy and don't either see or give a fawk.
I see this all of the time when dealing with public companies. I consult with many and I am consistently astounded at how utterly incompetent so many CEO's and executives are. They are either as I said super lazy and don't care or just stupid. The stories I could tell you.....just wow.

Episode wasn't as bad as it could have been, had a good mix of action/progress with some dialogue thrown in. Really enjoying these episode lengths.
Jon should've pet Ghost some before he left, makes sense for Tormund to head back home, some aren't happy with their stories ending but I figure them leaving means they won't die, so there's a positive.
Everyone is pretty on the nose I think about SAM being the writer of the book at the end, sitting in the Citadel. They seemed to address Fat Gilly with the pregnancy mention.
I would expect to hear more about/from Bran, seems he is going to stay at Winterfell with the magic tree, and Sansa his retarded sister.
Jon is an idiot, he will definitely be the one to kill Dany and then sit on the throne, because he doesn't want to.
Jamie will kill Cersei or get killed by her, and then Ayra will kill Cersei, something along those lines, who else was on Arya's list? She is gonna kill someone for sure. Maybe the Hound loses to the mountain and then she kills the mountain in his weakened state. Seems like she will get atleast one kill in, but wouldn't be great writing if she killed Cersei.
Wonder if Tyrion will kill Varys, since he is committed to Dany as queen, and Varys making suggestions like he gonna do something about it.
Bronn had me nervous for a bit, seemed a bit out of Show character for him, but in-line with how people describe him in the books. Kinda hope he gets killed.

besides, when was Ghost last prominent in Jon's life? season 2? 3? i honestly can't even remember. That's how insignificant he is now.
Ghost even appearing/surviving post battle of Winterfell is fan service in and of itself.

Surprised there isn't more frustration over the scorpions itt.
Very annoyed here. First, before the usual, "dragons and magic" response -- I don't care what rules are set up, they can include dragons and zombies and magic and all that -- but whatever the rules, it just needs to be consistent. If they establish characters can jump 50' don't have a scene where the main characters are trapped on a ledge with an escape route 40' away that they don't hop over on.
Lazy and rushed are the key words here.
They wanted to create tension for the final battle, so they needed to diminish the dragons, otherwise, we don't get as invested as we could because we don't think of Team Cersei as a threat. Fine, even if you have to write backwards like that, at least take your time and do it within the established rules.
-A pair of dragons in the air would see a fleet miles away
-The scorpion crossbows were shown to be a threat to the dragons but instead of making them that, now they're thermo-nuclear physics wrecking machine cannons capable of easily killing dragons and turning war ships into Swiss cheese
So, we got the shock kill and now we feel like Dany's back is against the wall but at the cost of, once again, being frustrated the show had to make chit up to get there.
I would have much rather: Dany seen the Iron Born fleet, they engaged even though they were outnumbered 3-1 (which is fine, they established the IB fleet was the biggest), lots of Iron Born ships are burned, they engage her fleet and there is lots of ship to ship fighting, then at some point with the Scorpions, Rhaegal who was already injured and didn't heal up properly (which ties into Sansa's speech) is hurt and a lucky shot downs him. Then, surrounded, Drogon is taking some hits and also maybe Dany herself is vulnerable, the IB fleet has too many and they must retreat, the girl is captured, and they get to the same place they went anyway - just without disregarding the rules and making Super Weapons.

the absolute worst part of the episode was the fact that Dany, Tyrion, a couple unsullied, and Drogon showed up, BY THEMSELVES, at the gates of the Red Keep. Cersei has dozens of archers and dozens of ballistas. She could have ended the war right there and won the Game of Thrones but somehow finds the honor to allow them to walk away?

I've defended the writing of this show in the past, but I can't do that anymore after tonight's episode.
They had so many ways to kill off a dragon and make Melisandre get captured, but they chose to go with the Invisible Euron (for the 5th time now??) and heat seeking ballista options.
Just have Euron show up on the horizon heading for her ships, Dany tries to go after his fleet with her dragons, but is forced to retreat when fired upon by the ballistas.
Then she is forced to watch her fleet being fukked up by Euron, and when she sees them boarding the ship that has Tyrion and the gang on board she tries to go in, losing a dragon in the process.
Some chit like that would lead to the same ending without being phucking retarded.
And then there's the whole "Having a chat with Cercei well inside ballista range" thing. Wtf prevents her from just murdering everybody?

Cersei has dozens of archers and dozens of ballistas. She could have ended the war right there and won the Game of Thrones but somehow finds the honor to allow them to walk away?
WTF
Totally and utterly against Cerseis character and a completely travesty of writing

Something better than what they’ve done.Surprised there isn't more frustration over the scorpions itt.

It was so bad. The writing is atrocious. RIP Jaime's character arc. And after seeing the leaks (which are true after last nights episode proved), I have no interest in the show. The ending is going to be so bad.
