Just finished joining a local range. Have less and less time to take courses at the academy and at this point it's getting counterproductive. Some times I would get more out of just going to the range and working on weak points. It's a little painful sitting through the fudd safety talk though. They only allow drawing from a holster if you're "action certified" which is some cheesy class they make you take.

Oh well, at least I have a place to bring friends and family. I've been in the industry 3 1/2 years now and have yet to take anyone (including my wife) out shooting.

No disagreement there, but to learn that there is a 600 yard range 3 hours away from me that does highpower matches I had to read through a 70 page pdf

Pretty much I will only ever have one AR platform gun. MAYBE two. One short range and one long. And one pistol.

Speaking of long range ar platform I'm watching the 6.8 for future purchase.

5.56 builds were rushed because of threat of new gun laws banning parts. i dont think HR 7115 went anywhere though. some of those will get new uppers, although im not sure exactly what theyl be.

Just one? You're doing it wrong. Everything can break. With use, everything will eventually break. How do you guarantee you have a spare of every possible part? Have a complete functioning duplicate (or substantially similar).

Also, more is better
