Actually all of that is true. Ignatenko's wife wrote about it. The baby died 4 hours after birth due to liver cirrhosis and congenital heart disease. And radiation sickness patients were taken to Moscow Hospital no.6

True, but the baby most likely got it from the fallout itself from the city, not visiting in the hospital being in proximity of dad. Thought the report was the first group of firefighters went over the ledge and didn't come back.

Yes, it's possible, but on the level of the shown....eh

Forgot about that first helicopter. It didn't just...fall apart. From the video I've seen it looks like more it got tangled up in some power lines.

Perfect series. They didn’t drag it out too much. Every episode was very interesting and kept my attention throughout. Right up there with the Goat Band of Brothers.

Just finished. What an absolute masterpiece of a miniseries. You can tell the creator truly cared about doing the story justice. Jared Harris is a criminally underrated actor.

Dyatlov was such a dick. It’s always the nice guys who die first and *******s like him get to live.

How the fuk did Fomin get another nuclear job after getting out of prison?

It’s unfortunate Legasov got trolled into suicide by the KGB.

For long they were believed to be dead but they were actually in deed alive. The president of Ukraine even awarded them medals in person later so they definitely lived long after. One of them is not alive, though, because of a heart attack.

It's a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife: the only friend who hasn't betrayed you, the only friend who won't be dead by sunup. Sleep tight mates, in your quilted chambray night shirts.

We saw his fate unfold in the first 10 minutes of the 1st episode. The levels of incompetence was mind numbing, Gorbachev said that Chernobyl was the undoing of the U.S.S.R, mega props to all those who gave their lives in order to unearth the truth and bring that giant to its knees.

10/10 Miniseries. I thought I would be disappointed with the finale because it looked like it was going to be all courtroom testimony, but switching back and forth to the actual events while they were being explained was both cool and educational.

Just can't fuk with the quality of this series. 100% perfect.

I don't get how the fuk they shot those pre-disaster scenes. That looked like the actual Pripyat. Did they CGI all the buildings and streets to look unfuked?

Come to think of it, how the fuk did they shoot all those exterior plant scenes?
