Surprised at those who are so indifferent to it because "it's just the way it is" and "nothing can be done about it". This kind of attitude just keeps humanity down. Not buying their milk for example is at least doing SOMETHING. We all vote with how we spend our money. And yeah maybe it pretty much is inescapable to unknowingly participate in unethical standards to at least some degree by buying pretty much anything. But it's dumb to act like there's not levels to what different companies do.

Not watching the video. But Fairlife has been known for unethical treatment for a while. Something came out a few years ago that showed poor treatment of their cows - stopped buying after that. Organic milk from Earthfare or Horizon grassfed 2% when I don't have time to drive across town to Earthfare

Is there any other milk out there with the same macros? Kroger Brand has some type of sugar to make it sweet and I still get a bit of diarrhea from it. Srs.

Fairlifes bottling operation is actually milk supplied by Select Milk Producers, which is a cooperative made up of a number of farms, including the one in the vid (did not watch). Fairlife milk could come from any number of farms, and it’s impossible to say which one produced the milk in a given bottle.

Also no chance SMP had any direct knowledge of this, and even less likely that Fairlife could know. These are not “corporate” farms, almost every dairy in the US is family owned, they are just selling their milk to a cooperative. The only corporation really buying direct is Walmart, and they don’t own the farms. It is unrealistic to be auditing tens of thousands of farms on a daily basis.

It is common knowledge in the dairy industry that illegals make up a large portion of the workforce, and it’s just kind of accepted because no one else wants to milk cows three times a day and do everything else that entails.

Not defending the video just giving some insight.

I don't have the heart to watch the video.

I used to buy fairlife because it was good tasting milk, and was a fan of only having half the sugar per serving compared to regular milk. I slowly stopped using dairy altogether (between my congestion from allergies and my irregularity I wanted to see if it made a difference, srs) and now that this is coming out, I have no regrets about no longer using dairy in general now.

Usually I try to buy good sources of meat and eggs. Not only is it better for the animals, but grass fed beef and cage free eggs taste amazing.
