This. A little while back I was merging onto a 4 lane road in town. It was a busy day. I saw a car and quickly realized there was plenty of room to merge but I would need to speed up or slow down. I chose to speed up. I was in my old car (chitbox honda) and he was also in some 15+ year old chitbox with his wife so there was no this person should go faster because theyre in a vette factor. I put the pedal down to speed up. He saw what i was doing and put the pedal down in response. I had to jam the brakes to keep us from being in a very bad accident. A half mile later we’re stopped at a light. His wife is so embarassed shes turning her head away (im next to them at the light). I let it go because he was fat, his wife was ugly and had enough common sense to be embarassed and frankly i just dont take the bait if someones not on my level (this dude was a real loser). But anyway the point of the story is theres a lot of losers in life like this. Their life sucks and theyre looking for an outlet. For something they can control.

Cyclists piss me off because they pick and choose what rules apply to them and what privileges they feel they deserve, and then have the audacity to give drivers and pedestrians sh!t for things.

They want to be recognized as a vehicle by law and have the right of riding on the road but want the privileges of a pedestrian being able to blow by stop signs, not use signals, never yield, be able to have cars stop for you to cross the street, etc.

OP, by the way, the BEST way to piss off cyclists is for you to WALK in the bicycle lane. These stupid, entitled kunts get pissed off when you're in their lanes, but it's totally cool for them to get in the way of priority traffic. Any time you see bicycle lanes, walk in them, best part is they have no license plate to report, lmao. Maybe toss some water balloons otherwise.

Your over defensiveness means you dont live in an area where cycling is a big deal. He has been correct on all counts....and I say this as a cyclist myself. The only thing I disagree with him on are the clothes. If you consistently ride 20-30miles per day on trails and whatnot the chaffing overtime can be legendary if you're not wearing the proper gear. Going on a 50mile bike ride in basketball shorts and a cotton/polyester mix t-shirt sucks.

Yep it's illegal in a good number of states. When I was in New Mexico and now here in San Diego there are strips on the road used as designated bike lanes but if you HAVE to drive on the street with cars you move the ohuck over so they can pass when possible. The people that are dicks are the ones that ride in the middle of the road as if they are a car. All they do is back up traffic riding 20mph slower than the speed limit.

when I was 18 we used to go around in someone's car and hit homeless people or cyclists in the back with the car mat, too funny. Seems to hurt a lot

Zero chance bicyclists are more retarded than half the chit i see people do in cars. Pretty sure I've never seen a road cyclist texting and riding, putting on make-up and riding, reading and riding, etc.

If you've never done any serious road cycling you probably have zero clue about certain things bicyclist do for safety and assume they're just being a-holes. Heaven forbid you have to slow your metal cage down for hefty 30 seconds of your life to safely pass on the way to your cubecell or local fast food joint.

The problem with people in cars ... or just a general rule of thumb is if you give them an inch they will take a mile. Meaning, if you're on a road with a narrow shoulder I'd say 7 out of 10 vehicle drivers will unsafely pass a bicyclist.

Most ridiculous chit i saw when i was bicycling from Canada to Mexico was in Yellowstone. I've done a ton of cycling and a ton of motorcycle riding ... people in cars are the most distracted entitled kunts by far.

Saw this the other day and was like WTF... then i realized how intelligent it is...




Lost track of how many clowns would get within a meter of me at 70mph on the highway while riding my motorcycle. Half of all the idiot things i see on a daily basis involves a distracted car driver dicking around on their cell phone.

Last experience I had with a road cyclist was the worst. I was just pulling to the kerb of my driveway from the road and pretty much stopped my car on the kerb outside my house at like 3pm in the afternoon. Put my handbrake up and ten seconds later all I hear is just a smash and then glass shattered all over inside of my car. Stepped outside and saw a cyclist on the floor behind my car, bleeding out of his arms profusely, pretty much sliced his his fingers. Rear windshield of my car was non existent at that point. Called the ambulance/police and pretty much tried to help the bloke.

Cops said he told them he 1. wasn't looking forward even if riding at a fast pace 2. was also on the phone

Some of them honestly are just idiots but I wouldn't want to do anything to hurt them, it honestly goes both ways - some drivers are fuking dumbchits as well.

I rode a bike for 20 years, rode a mountain bike because the road is for cars and other vehicles that can do the speed limit. If you drove the same speed as a bicycle going up a hill, you would get pulled over. If I can't drive on the cycle paths, **** off with your lycra. Also, 100% of road cyclists are gay. Never wore lycra or shaved legs in my life.

Cyclists seem a little bit less annoying now. Back before the Lance Armstrong doping scandal broke, they were 100% more self-righteous and bitchy. In about 2010, I had a clyclist pass me to my right from a right-hand turning lane as I was making a right turn on a red (i.e., he blew through the light). I slammed the brakes and the car behind me rear-ended me (no injuries and minor damage, so annoying rather than catastrophic). The cylcist turned around and obviously saw what he had caused, but he just kept riding along. Not mirin.

I take my passenger windshield sprayer and reroute it through a tube that sticks out between the hood and fender. I just hose them down with soapy water as i drive by.

Climb into a big steel cage with an engine, make a lot of noise in it, fill the streets with them, actually fill all human spaces with them, smash your noisy/dirty thing into everything, then kill yourself and others as a result. Bonus points for pollution-maxing.
