I have no desire to post a picture of my body on the internet.

What, specifically, was wrong with any of the fitness advice I ever gave? Link me one thing that I said that was wrong.

No avis usually don't want the other forum members to know they look like trash but want to pretend they know what theyre talking about. Would you take railburtbruis advice for growing arms? No ofc not but you might if he didnt have an avi. No avis and thumb brahs automatically lack credibility when discussing lifting or general fitness. You are no exception. Post physique and edit your face out of it.

I asked you what I said that was wrong, and you have no answer.

I told you that I'm not posting my physique on here, *******. End of discussion. If you want to think of me as a dyel or a fatty, that is fine. I know what I did, and I don't need to prove it to you or anyone else. All my lifting and diet advice has been helpful, and I've been told as much by a lot of people on here.

Specifically, I've often presented alternatives to older miscers who do not want to squat or deadlift, such as weighted hyperextensions, glute ham raises, rack pulls, hack squats, and weighted donkey kicks as viable alternatives to the conventional movements for targeting glutes, hamstrings, and quads. I base most of what I say off of my own experience as well as EMG studies I have read, which indicate these movements are suitable substitutes.

I was talking about sh!t like the thread where you were talking about how eating fat causes your body to store it as fat and that's why you're fat. As opposed to cals in cals out. You read sh!t on webmd and since you don't have any real experience you accept it as truth and regurgitate it here. I'm not going to comb through your posts to pick out bullsh!t but there's been a lot of it.

It's kind of bullsh!t to go through and edit you rn posts so heavily to try and win an argument after the fact.

You're misquoting what I said. The vast majority of the fat you gain is fat you ate. I never said cals don't matter. Energy demands and each macronutrient's balance matters. I said each macronutrient is processed independently with some interconversion as needed to accomodate energy demands. De novo lipogenesis rates are extremely low in humans -- even with consistent overfeeding of carbohydrates. Most of your carbohydrates are stored as glycogen or eventually produced into excess acetyl CoA, of which a TINY fraction will eventually be made into a fatty acid. The idea that excess carbohydrates are mostly turned into fat for humans is inconsistent with the relevant research from human experiments. It happens at such a negligible rate as to not be taken seriously as a mechanism of fatty acid creation. To put it bluntly, most of the fat you have is fat you ate. We could easily test this by radioactively labeling fatty acids you consumed. This doesn't mean eating fat makes you fat. Your body doesn't take and store all of what you eat, and depending on energy demands, it can burn fat as needed. What happens is if you are eating a lot of calories, and sufficient carbs for your metabolic needs, your body will attempt to store some of the fat you eat rather than use it. That's how you gain fat.

There is no healthy ultra low fat diet since you need a certain amount of fat for your body to produce hormones correctly (another sign that your body can't make its own fat in sufficient quantitities). Notice that if you went on an extremely low carb diet, you would still be fairly functional provided you had a sufficient excess of fat or protein to break down. This is because your body is optimized for making glucose as needed since that is the key source of energy for all of your cells. An extremely low fat diet would just fuk you over. Hopefully you get it now.

I'd advocate a diet that barely meets your energy needs and is mostly carbohydrates with a relatively low amount of fat, but just enough to be healthy, and enough protein to sustain muscles. That's a good diet for overall health. For weight loss, the best way to go is to restrict carbohydrates as much as possible, forcing your body to convert fat reserves to glucose.

It's a bit rich for someone with no education in biochemistry to tell me I'm a dumbass when everything I said is supported by research and makes perfect sense if you'd think about it for 5 fuking minutes and pull your fuking head out of your ass.

Edit: And why cals in/cals out is somewhat flawed is because cals are calculated purely from estimates of the macronutrients that are absorbed and their relative caloric values when used as energy. This is wrong because I could eat the same calorie food as you and have very different results purely due to colon length, intestinal motility, and absorption of macronutrients. Meat actually takes a significant amount of energy to digest, and the calorie values are always underestimates. The cal values are just estimates to go by and do not reflect the actual energy absorbed. That being said, since it is a consistent scale, you can eventually figure out your approximate caloric demand. In this sense, cals in/cals out makes sense because if you are taking in less than your demand, you will lose weight.

They are fine lifts, but most elderly people lack the mobility and joint stability to perform them. I wouldn't expect older people who want to stay fit to deadlift. A rack pull or weighted hyperextension would do them well without putting their joints under as much stress.

I'm not going to come through your post history to find where you're full of sh!t. You were saying that fat makes you fat and you were proved wrong by other miscers. Now you're saying something different. I'm also not reading an entire two page long reply.

I can say whatever I want on the Internet too. Hey guys one time I squatted 1000lbs and I'm a brain surgeon. Post proof? No fukk you I don't have to

I have to agree here, I hate to admit but I have a terrible diet. I eat no fruit, no veg and barely any jeat.

I literally survive on cookies, pastries and chocolate and I wish I was exaggerating! But I eat at a standard 1600kcals a day. So its not a massive load of food, just small amounts of calorie dense chit.

My weight stays pretty constant which it wouldn’t if eating fat was the cause of weight gain. I have always taken it as any food is fuel and your body doesn’t really discriminate, a bad diet like mine just leaves me lacking in nutrients/vitamins and likely hungrier than someone with a more normal diet.

Cals in VS cals out for definite and it doesn’t matter where or what those calories come from, it is just a unit of measure.

I was not saying that. I was not proved wrong. I am not responsible for your lack of reading comprehension. And since you are namecalling, I will respond by saying that it is you who is the dumbass. I just spent a lot of time explaining how macronutrient metabolism works to you, and you didn't even read a fuking word. I'm done responding to you, and I hope you enjoy the massive dick you are going to suck tonight. Good day.

You were obviously in a caloric deficit, meaning your body was burning the fat for carbs. FUKING LEARN TO READ YOU STUPID FUK.

I think you’re correct and a lot of people are in those shoes. I have no idea how many calories I eat but I know what I eat every day and look like I do in my avi at 224.

1st
6 whole eggs, 3 whites, cup broc, a blueberry muffin from hyvee and a ****load of butter on it.

2nd (after first workout)
Quest bar
Belvita cookie pack
Cottage cheese

3rd
Chicken breast
Taylor farms Asian salad
A lot of dry Cinnamon Toast Crunch

4th
Chicken breast
Wheat thins
Hummus
Whole avocado

5th (after 2nd workout)
A meat protein (whatever we have)
Veggies
Maybe some pasta

6th
At least 3 cups of slow churn ice cream (every fukin day)

Shrug...

Hey hey..I resent that. Old people can deadlift!

Sure, but most cannot. The number of old people who have knee and hip issues is too great to ignore. Most old people cannot and probably should not deadlift, and they don't. Those who deadlifted for most of their lives usually can keep doing it, but I wouldn't start some guy in his 60's who wants to remain fit out on deadlifts or squats. I'd use conventional PT style movements that are low risk of injury to his joints.

I do 2 apples + dry carb source in the morning. Lunch varies depending on what's available and energy levels and 3x chicken breasts with 1-2 potatoes for dinner then oats, cottage cheese and Greek yogurt 1-2 hours before bed. More oats if I'm training in the morning. I only seriously tracked calories for the first few months training then started going off mirror + how my clothes fit.

My primary protein source until 2 months ago was cheap ground beef and I managed to drop ten pant sizes. If fat made me fat then I would have gotten fatter
