Just as an ant literally doesn't have the tools to understand some of the things us humans understand, no matter how much knowledge it gains, it doesn't have the tools to comprehend the knowledge. Knowledge and understanding being two different things.

What I'm saying is, I think there are things that we cannot know without becoming more than we currently are. As in we need to integrate with technologies and such which will provide us with the "tool" to understand. A tool which we currently lack perhaps.
Regarding knowledge. I believe human reason is only capable of so much and that we are fundamentally built to receive Revelation, especially through the faculty we have for faith. I think the faculty for faith is as fundamental and important to human beings as rational reason. And that this can paradoxically be even proven precisely with reason.

A wormhole is just connected two parts of spacetime geometrically that would have otherwise not been connected. In connecting these parts, it becomes a shorter path. In modern physics, some now believe that quantum entanglement actually manifests itself as a nontraversable wormhole. In fact, they are now saying that spacetime emerges from something more fundamental, and that the geometry of spacetime may be determined by entanglement.

Its impossible to prove that the universe is deterministic. The best formulation I have heard to date is that of an ontologically incomplete universe that requires participatory consciousness to make "sense of it", the relation of those two factors is what we call "reality". Ie there is no "hard" and complete reality in itself that bypasses consciousness.

Deterministic models of the universe tend to exhaust themselves when you run the regress far back enough into the start of the universe at which point you're not dealing with proof anymore but faith (whether it be multiverse or something else).

....and not a single philosophical question was solved that day.

Something to consider: you don't "solve" a philosophical question like "what is the meaning of life" the way you solve a mathematics problem. It is an ill-defined, imprecise question....like pretty much most of everything else you see in philosophy.

What's funny in the definite answers given above is the sheer arrogance in their verbage. What's the meaning of life?well of course such and such is..... Pack your bags, go home. A lot of philosophers must be out of business now I guess.

When you actually dissect the sentences though, you see it is not super far off from just randomly throwing ill-defined terms together. I love how "Ontologically incomplete universe" pops up in almost every answer. None of this is testable of course. It's not even backed by any sort of deductive logic. It's literally babble.

If this were a thread titled "I will solve any difficult math problem you throw at me", it would be much harder to hide the nonsense- these questions would have objectively correct or incorrect answers. But with this sort of vague metaphysics....anything goes I guess.

This is truth. That's the main issue with philosophy. A lot of the terms are not rigorously defined. I suspect that "ontologically incomplete universe" means that our physical description is not and likely can never be a complete description of the universe. I guess the technical term we use for this is "effective field theory". I'm not sure about the other stuff he said, but it sounds a lot like a kind of consciousness causes collapse interpretation.

Thanks for trying. I already have my own answer to that question, though it took half a century for me. It's something you all should find out for yourself, and it's a bliss for everyone.

Nothing I said is random or nonsense. However, if you've never read a philosophy book and developed the necessary thinking processes and terminology, a lot of stuff might go over your head. If I have to explain every concept with extremely basic terms I would need to spend too much time explaining something that should be at least intuitively obvious to someone with above-average capacity for philosophical thought. My phrasing if you compare it to philosophy as a discipline overall falls into the easy to understand side of things.

That's fair.

But it is a very simplistic way of looking at it.

What if someone is about to murder someone in front of you and you can stop it (assuming the only way to stop it is to kill and you can't wound or subdue). Wouldn't inaction also not be moral since you wouldn't want someone to stand by and watch you get murdered.
