2.2k sounds about right for a college student. If it were me I would budget and work even less to invest time into studying.

yah, Im a male RN, 35 years old hahaha. In my 20s, I dropped out of college, my parents got divorced and I chose to help my mom with the family business. Business was good but I got tired of working 6 days a week, 60 plus hours with no vacation days, sick days etc....owning your own business sucks, at least for me.

I went back to school and got my BA in Bio while running the business, took me almost 5 years for the damn BA. Didnt know what to do with it and started volunteering at a hospital. I really enjoyed helping the RNs and the pt care aspect. Went back to school for my ADN, been working for almost a year now. Starting my FNP next month! Its been a long, long road LOL

how much do you put away in your 403(b)?

I bring home around $5k a month claiming s1, but I put away nearly $1,500 a month for my 403(b), that's as a Director at a Hospital in California.

Dude, my workplace has a 403b also but sadly i didnt know too much about it until recently and I was told that it was too late for me to contribute this year. I plan on putting into it next year.

Are you in the LA area?
