I think the average person doesn’t know how/doesn’t need to bulk. It has become a buzzword and signals to people that they can just eat whatever they want. I think most people are fine fluctuating between caloric deficits and surpluses throughout the year in much smaller increments than 4 months or however long you’re supposed to bulk now according to the latest bro science.

No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

Don't really care tbh. He may be right.

I eat whole foods for the most part and splurge here and there. Don't count anything. Just eye it. Been growing like a mofo and look and feel fine. The little extra fat helps for strength as well. dat there base

I was about 66kg 3 months ago, I put on about 4-5kg in one month and a half and am now about 72kg. If that's not bulking then I don't know what is and obviously it's not fat as seen by avi, I can't seem to get fat unless I go full sedentary mode but I'd rather die.

No delusions at all lmao, it's legit true fact. I ate at least 3200+ calories every single day, eating the same processed food every single day while gunning down weight gainers everynight and training x6 days a week for 1 and a half months. I've even got the results from the bodyscan I took to prove it. lmao don't cope just because you can't be fuked to put in the effort to achieve what you're striving for.

Fair enough man, you kept a lot of muscle from it. They're not so bad after the first week or so once the stomach shrinks a bit, it's not like I do cuts often though.

Yeah keep telling yourself that. Just because you've lifted for 13 years ( i struggle to even say this seriously) and you're twink status doesn't mean you should apply your own pathetic standards to others.

@OP, he's probably in a small surplas rather than maintenance hence why he makes lean gains over the course of a year. Therefore he is still technically 'bulking' because he's eating over maintenance.

Also, he's a fake natty, so take what he says with a pinch of salt.

Sorry, but you didn't put on 4-5kg of muscle on in 6 weeks, or even close. Naturally, it's physiologically impossible (It's even a stretch on strong anabolics). If you're a beginner, then maybe 2kg of it was muscle (being generous).

Remember, gaining 4-5kg of mass doesn't mean you've gained 4-5kg of muscle.

Human body can only put on 30 lbs of muscle in a lifetime natty. No dude is getting big like that. Most people will top out gaining 20-25 lbs of muscle in a few years before it becomes near impossible to build anymore.

I started out at 155 and got to about 180 lean. That was it. And I wasn't even that lean and not big at all.

Get a grip you dumb coping retard. Do you honestly think you're close to the genetic limit? LMFAO

If this was true, we'd all be destined to be dumb skinny twinks like you, yet as you can see pretty much everyone who lifts is bigger than you.

Fair enough man, 5-6kg of mass is definitely do-able, it was the muscle i was questioning, and as per your PM looks like around 2kg was muscle, still impressive nonetheless. Imagine what 2kg of chicken breast looks like, that's how much muscle you added in 6 weeks.

I wouldn't say its a 'myth' per se since it will work for some, but most natural lifters need to really watch out and question everything they hear and read concerning this topic.

500 cals over maintenance per day might not work for everyone. I've known guys that were on mutant mass and all that garbage because they swore they could not put on weight (they were very skinny to begin). Then you have guys like me that were always chubby kunts. When I'd 'bulk' on 2500 calories or something, I'd gain 30 pounds of fat in less than 6 months. My entire bodybuilding 'career' has been me trying to put on mass, putting on way too much fat, then spending lots of time cutting that out. The best thing I've ever done was 'lean bulk,' be in a slight caloric surplus on training days and at maintenance or slightly below on rest days. That has worked pretty well, and believe it or not, I put on lots of fat then too.

Recently, I dropped 25 pounds and I'm keeping myself at this weight because it feels much better. After 10 years, I seriously doubt I can gain an appreciable amount more mass so I personally do not think it's worth it at this point to push my body again to gain another 20 pounds and gain maybe 1 pound of muscle?

Point of the story, be careful when you 'bulk.' The goal is to put on mass, not mounds of fat. That's counterintuitive. I deluded myself for years, 'oh it's probably muscle, nah I'm not getting that fat, I'm just bloated.' I look back at old pictures and am horrified at how much we convince ourselves otherwise.

Then again, my initial goal was always to lose fat. Even before gaining mass. That is an interest that surfaced after. So, gaining mounds of lard while bulking was really depressing. Everyone has a different goal. Be true to yours.

Well, i know for a fact it is... but yeah ok son

lol @ thinking having child bearing hips with a 34 inch waist, and being 160 lbs @ 6'1 is all that's attainable naturally. lmfao.

Why would i be coping? You're the one who's been lifting 13 years, still looks like a twink and basically have to pretend everyone who isn't a twink is on juice.

So are you saying Jk202 is on dat dere? Because he is like 185 and 12ish% @ 5'-8"...

I'm currently 210 and 16-17% at 6'-0", are you saying it's not possible for me to drop 12-13# of body fat while maintaining the majority of my lean body mass over an extended course of time? Oh and that's at 3" shorter, accounting for that are you saying it's not possible for me to be 190# and 12% at my height?

You are just a mentally and physically weak person who isn't willing to sacrifice for your goals so you cope by saying anyone better than you is cheating. Pathetic...

I remember the T-nation article which used to be cited on here all the time. Basically, it said that natural lifters will gain only fat after eating more than 300-400 calories over maintenance. Bulking is, thus, really a slow process.

It was well-written article that sounded credible, and I do believe it.

Pathetic...
I don't think he is natty, anyone that has a very lean impressive physique is never natty. If he was like 15% then sure i would have no problem thinking he was natty.

I am honestly having a hard time figuring out whether you are a really dedicated troll or actually fukking retarded.

You do realize the difference between 12% and 15% @ 185 is only 5# of bodyfat right? Just because you are a lazy sack of chit doesn't mean that everyone that's better than you is cheating...
